Programme Part I: Presentation of the three visions The morning will be dedicated to the presentation of the three visions developed by the three offices of international planners, whose aim is to provide different development scenarios for the Brussels Metropolitan Area by 2040. 09:00 AM Welcome (salle M) 09:30 AM Introduction Elio Di Rupo, Prime Minister. Three visions for a metropolis», T shows the approaches of three international expert teams on the issue of metropolitan development in the Brussels region by means of video, scale models, photographs and plans. Part Two: Reflections upon the metropolitan dimension Following the presentations of these three visions, several themes will be discussed with Belgian and international experts. The debate will open on three international examples of metropolitan management, which will fuel the debate on the three visions presented in the morning. Belgian metropolitan cooperation will be discussed from a socio-economic perspective and the citizen’s point of view in a debate between the social partners of the three regions and a Brussels civic organization.
