1. State fishing licenses are required of all persons past their 17th
birthday. Licenses are not sold in the park but may be obtained at
major sporting goods stores.

3. Spearing or bow and arrow season for noxious fish is April 1 to
August 15. Spear or bow and arrow is not permitted from shore

4. No fishing permitted in Nature Study Area except southwest end of
Wildwing Lake with waders. No fishing permitted in or on any boat
dock, launching area, bridge, boardwalk or posted area.

5. Ice shanties must be marked on all four sides with name and
complete address of owner in waterproof letters not less than two
inches high. Tents or temporary shelters that are removed from
the ice each day do not require identification. All shanties must be
removed by March 1 or before ice becomes unsafe.

and canoes that can be carried to the water may be carried from any
parking lot.
4. No boats may be left on the lake or shoreline between 10 pm and
6 am except by written permission obtained at the Park Office.

1. Metroparks boat launching permits are required for all trailered
vessels entering the park. All motorboats must have proper state
registration numbers and required equipment. The boat operator is
to have the state registration certificate in his/her possession.

Dockage
Seasonal Dockage is provided for private boats at the East Boat Launch,
Boat Rental Dock, and Mitten Bay Dockage. Slips are available at prices
depending on size.
