P E Q 4 Chronicles: Summer 2012 Every ten years, colleges like VGCC that have been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges must have their accreditation reaffirmed. SACS is scheduled to make its final decision on VGCC’s reaffirmation of accreditation in the summer of 2013. As part of this process, VGCC has created a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), a long-term course of action that addresses a topic or issue related to improving student learning. The subject of this QEP is Academic Advising and Career Planning, and the slogan is “Advising in 3D: Dream, Design, Discover!” For more information, contact Jennifer M. Johnson at (252) 738-3408.
