“UNIDOS’ mission is to provide a bridge to a safe environment through assessment, direct support,
referral, education, training and collaboration to break the cycle of domestic violence in Latino
communities, one family at a time.”
WHAT WAS NEW IN 2012?
In 2012, UNIDOS’ team and Mujeres Adelante Leadership group
expanded services, activities and partnerships through Dane, Rock,
Walworth and surrounding counties, such as: Sexual Assault
Recovery Program (SARP), Association for the Prevention of
Family
Violence
(APFV),

Families
Together
Association, Wisconsin Women’s Correctional System, Fitchburg
Days Event Committee, Joining Forces for Families and Madison
College.
The expansion of services for victims of Sexual Assault in multiple
counties allowed us to open the doors to new partnerships and get
to know a lot of new colleagues opening the doors for more Latino
families to receive services in those counties.
