ENERGIA EUROPA EMPOWERING LOCAL AUTHORITIES TO WORK FOR PROFITABLE FULFILMENT OF THE ENERGY SAVINGS DIRECTIVE. ENERGIA EUROPA • • • • Basic Power Quality Savings Technology, Scope for electricity savings, Where does the Power Quality Saving technology fit in? The E-Power project cycle and how it engages Energia Europa with its clients in an efficient and effective process to attain profitable electricity savings within the shortest possible time, • Energia Europa’s unique and patented bypass technology for verification of electricity savings, • Safe contracting as savings are contractually guaranteed. ENERGIA EUROPA ENERGIA EUROPA Reducing the non-functional energy Energy Consumption = Functional Energy + Non-Functional Energy In a network of loads Energy that the load needs Unwanted energy consumed by the load due to in order to work distortions in the network waste E-Power reduces power consumption by reducing the non functional energy ENERGIA EUROPA How it generates saving: 1. Star point Reduces the electrical distance between the SP of the energy supplier and the SP of the load, thus reducing the current absorbed 4. Voltage peaks reduction Controls and reduces the current peaks and consequently the voltage peaks getting a stable line 2.Current/Voltage Harmonic management Reconfigurates harmonics and reduces distortions , cleaning the waveform 5. Load balancing Balances the three phase voltage distribution system 3. Power factor correction Improves the PF where possible 6. Line losses reduction Improves the energy distribution and reduces the thermal losses (Joule effect) ENERGIA EUROPA 7. Soft starter effect Reduces current peaks due to motors starting or to other devices present in the load 8. Optimized transmission Optimized transmission efficiency by decreasing the heat loss and noise of electromagnetic nature E-Power technology (DME): EP patented technology generates significant power saving by working simultaneously on different electrical parameters in the network: current/voltage harmonic management, current absorption reduction, current and voltage peaks reduction, power factor improvement, load balancing, improvement of energy distribution: all in one product ENERGIA EUROPA E-Power Dynamic multi-effect power saving system which allows savings on the entire power consumption of any scale ENERGIA EUROPA Standards CE European standard VDE German standard American UL standard RCM Australian standard Assembly in accordance with both ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 quality standards Italian UNI 10380 and UNI 10439 standards for energy efficiency, and UNI 10819 standard for air pollution. Assembly in accordance with European and International switch board EN, IEC 61439 standards Protected by international patents Office Buildings The Client One of the world major company in the field of business professional services, such as auditing, advisory and consultancy. It employees about 175.000 people throughout the world, where it is present with 709 offices in 140 countries, generating a global turnover of about $25 BN. In April 2012 1 EP400A has been installed at the head office of Tel Aviv, Israel. The Project The EP400A has been installed at the 5th floor of the head office; the main loads are traditional lighting, aircon, IS and office equipment. Loads 10% 35% 20% 35% Lighting Aircon IS Machinery Office Buildings The Project After 1 year from installation, the energy consumption data have been compared between the different floors, and the following results have been found: +4.4% -1.4% +3.8% +4.8% +1.9% +11.3% -6.3% -3.8% -15.3% Average per floor w/o 4-6 floors Average per floor w/o 5th floor 6th Floor 5th Floor 4th Floor KWh per year after installation 3rd Floor 2nd Floor 1st Floor Public area KWh per year before installation Moreover, it was also found that the EP installation at the 5th floor influenced positively on the adjacent floors . Global Results and Benefits Average Energy Saving Rate: 15,3% Control and Reduction of non-functional Harmonics PF improvement Power Peaks Reduction Reduction of Electro-magnetic emission in compliance to the EMC standard (Electromagnetic Compatibility). Extension of loads life expectancy. Reduction of CO2 emissions The Client A medium size city in the North East of Italy, in Veneto, Treviso province. The city is renowned for its high quality industrial production of skiing equipment and skiing technology, having in its territory probably the top producers in Europe in this field. In October 2012, the municipality of Montebelluna agreed to install the first EP system in the public swimming pool The Project An EP250A was installed in the electrical cabinet of the swimming pool, downstream of the main breaker; the main loads are traditional lighting, pumping machinery, aircon and heating systems. Loads 25% 40% 35% Lighting - Private & Confidential - Privato & Confidenziale Aircon/Heating Machinery 11 The Project After the installation, EE standard measurements led to the official saving report stating a total energy saving equal to 6.13%. After 1 year 2 more EP systems have been installed in the public library and the city museum. Global results and Benefits: Average Energy saving Rate: 6.13% Yearly Energy saving: 53,598 kWh Reduced CO2 Emissions: 26,799 Kg PF Improvement Reduction of non-functional harmonics Extension of loads lifespan Power peaks reduction Yearly Consumption kWh 950000 899500 900000 856000 850000 800000 750000 700000 Without EP With EP 899500 856000 kWh kWh Private & Confidential - Privato & Confidenziale - 12 ENERGIA EUROPA ENERGIA EUROPA They already made the first steps ENERGIA EUROPA THANK YOU FOR YOUR AT T E N T I O N FOR MORE INFO W W W.
