Property Management News on State Route 161 has been changed to Saturday, June 26, 9 AM - 12 Noon Meet at Sharon Woods Center, behind Jiffy Lube, 1800 E. Dublin Granville Road, at Sharon Woods Blvd. DID YOU KNOW? New green space coming Approximately 7000 to 10,000 cars cut through the The long-time landmark restaurant and bar, formerly Whiskey Dicks, has been torn down, after falling into disrepair. The demolition company carefully razed it, and recycled everything possible from the rubble. This process dramatically reduced the amount of trash that goes to the construction landfills. The lot is leveled and ready for the grass to grow! shopping center to get between Cleveland Avenue and Forest Hills Boulevard every day! Think about all the opportunities to attract more customers to your store as they drive through the center. Does your storefront show up as well as it could? THE FLOWERS ARE IN BLOOM The planting of the flowers around the shopping center is finished. Over 500 beautiful flowering plants were planted. The Hadler maintenance men did all the work. The watering and maintenance through the summer is a big job, but the guys are proud of the beautiful flowers which were locally grown and supplied by Foertmeyer & Sons Greenhouse in southern Delaware County. REMINDER Deliveries should be taken through the rear of your space so as not to effect customer traffic flow and pedestrian safety. TIP Keep your air conditioning from working “overtime” to keep your store cool. • Keep all your doors closed, front and back, to keep the heat out and cooling in. • Let your unit’s fan run all the time to keep the air circulated in your storeroom. • Raise the thermostat a few degrees at night to save electric costs when you are closed. • Be sure your filters are clean. SPRING CLEAN UP We all want a clean center and the dumpsters are the place to start. Check the rear and dumpsters areas for cleanliness. As your business grows, you may need to increase the frequency of pick up for your trash. All refuse must be “IN” the dumpsters and not on the ground. Trash on the ground is a breeding ground for rats, mice and other vermin. COLUMBUS SQUARE GETS MORE NEW ROOFS The new roofs will start at the Ohio Thrift offices will be first, and then move south to Avis, turning east to the driveway between the west and east portions of the center. All of the existing roofing will be removed and new high-efficiency insulation will be installed, and then covered with the new roof. This is a huge job, and the contractor, The Holand Roofing Company, will be on and off the building for several weeks.
