Maintenance personnel requested that a condensing unit on a cooling tower at
the main campus of Davis Applied Technology College (DATC), Kaysville, Utah, be
treated with BiCARBUSTM* resonance technology scale treatment. A BiCARBUS
distributor had told DATC staff that scale deposits could be removed when the
tower was circulated off-line at ambient operational pH without acidification and
within a similar time period as the leading acid descaler. The tower was cleaned
within three days of starting the BiCARBUS treatment. The results of the field test
are documented below and validated all of the claims.
