LEARNING, LIVING, AND SHARING THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS!
April 14, 2013
Welcome to
Calvary Church
We’re glad you’re here to worship
with us today!
At Calvary Church we seek
to LEARN about Jesus, LIVE
according to His words, and
SHARE the Good News about
Him with our families, friends and
neighbors.
NEW WITH US?
2013 MISSIONS WEEKEND - APRIL 27-28
On Saturday, April 27, at 5:00 p.m. we will host our Annual
Missions Banquet. Our guest speakers this year are missionaries
Paul and Kristin Mathias. Paul and Kristin have worked at Valley
Forge Christian College since 2004. After a week-long trip to
Thailand, God released their hearts to begin thinking about leaving
Pennsylvania to serve in the Middle
East.
They will work with the Live Dead
Arab World Initiative to join teams
focused on investing in the lives of
millions of people in 300 unreached
Arab people groups.
Then on Sunday, April 28, at 9 &
11 a.m. we will host Rabbi Jeff Friedman from Jacob’s Hope. Jacob’s
Hope is leading the way in compassion for helping the poor of Israel.
We will partner with the Hope Center project in giving food to the
hungry, clothing to the naked, a place of community to the lonely
and, ultimately, eternal hope to the hopeless.
Don’t miss our Missions Weekend!
Please feel free to stop by the
Welcome Center in the foyer so
we can say hello, answer your
questions and give you a small gift.
We hope you’ll also enjoy some
refreshments while you’re there.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We hope you’ll relax and just be
yourself. Whether you have been
here many times or never been
to church here before, you can
anticipate an encouraging and
uplifting experience.
KIDS/NEW MOMS
If you have children with you
today you’ll find age-appropriate
programs for them on the lower
level. New moms can relax in
the Mother and Baby Room. It’s
located down the hallway to the
left of the sanctuary and features a
live video feed of the service.

DATE CHANGED TO APRIL 21
We had to move our healing service and Story of Hope
to Sunday April 21. Pastor John will be preaching from
the Gospel story about the woman who pushed through
a crowd to touch the hem of Jesus’ robe in faith that she
would be healed. We’ll view a video featuring Mary Nelson
and her story of healing from cancer. The service will
conclude with a time of prayer for healing.

THE BUDGET
YOUTH SUMMER MISSIONS TRIP
The youth will be going on a summer missions trip from
August 4th-10th. They will go back to Baltimore to continue
some of the ministry they started in 2012. Last year was
one of the most fruitful trips the youth have had, and it was
a great time for them to be stretched, learn new gifts, and
be used by God outside of their comfort zones. If you are
interested in being a part of the youth mission trip team (as
a student or leader) please see Pastor Devin.
