This all-about-Gig Harbor take off on one of the world’s best-selling board games offers our community
a unique opportunity to be part of game board history by becoming a beloved classic.
We present, Gig Harbor‐Opoly and the opportunity for your business, organization, school, etc. to make
it onto the board!
The game board and pieces are manufactured by a small business in Cincinnati, Ohio that has been
making specialty board games based on the original “Monopoly” game since 1984.
Gig Harbor-Opoly will debut at the 2016 Cider Swig in September and will be sold online, in local stores,
at other community events and other high-traffic locations.

Showcasing the best of Gig Harbor – Gig Harbor‐Opoly will feature the many special places, legendary
gems, and iconic views that highlight what makes our town one of the “best small towns in America”
(Smithsonian Magazine, April 2012).
Whether local or a visitor, Gig Harbor-Opoly will be a one-of-a-kind keepsake to enjoy for years to come.
Visitors will love taking home a part of the charm they found in our town and locals will love sharing as
gifts to family and friends. The exposure for your organization or business will come time and time again
when the game is played.
Where do the proceeds go?
100% of all proceeds through the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation go back into our greater Gig Harbor
and Key peninsula community, and will be put to work where need is the greatest.
The Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit community foundation, serves
South Puget Sound communities of the Gig Harbor and Key peninsulas region. In its first 10 years, GGHF
has distributed over $4.5‐million in assets to support a range of projects and programs in five core areas
– Arts & Culture, Education, Parks & Environment, Recreation, and Social Capital – all to the benefit our
greater peninsula community.
Everyone wins!
In addition to helping the Foundation’s work to build, bridge and enrich our community – other area
organizations (e.g., non-profits, schools/PTO’s, scouts, and more) and businesses will have the
opportunity to benefit through sales. For example, 100 games for your school or non-profit would
generate $2,099 in income to directly benefit your group. Payments to the Foundation are made up
front, so all proceeds are 100% yours.
We know that our local business and professional community are vital to the fabric of Gig Harbor, so
while the pricing is slightly different for businesses, those who carry the game will also have the
opportunity to share a piece of the pie.
Publicity and Distribution
And, to help make it easy, we’ll even help you with marketing! We will provide you with display posters,
forms for fundraisers, flyers, and electronic graphics for your website, social media and email marketing.
In addition, local newspapers will feature Gig Harbor-Opoly when – and where it is available for
purchase. The Greater Gig Harbor Foundation will have and promote the game for sale through its
website, its various Facebook pages, the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce, and other partners.
The game will be available for sale at area businesses, stores, boutiques, and gift shops in Gig Harbor, as
well as at popular community events such as the Cider Swig, the Maritime Gig Festival, and others.
Getting on the board is easy, though spaces are limited and demand for spaces is high!
