Selected for their fine reputations and their ability to work with young players, our coaches teach at all levels of play. We provide a balance of experienced senior staff Cardigan Mountain is the perfect location for camp. members and enthusiastic college grads with truly outstanding credentials: All-Americans, Coaches of the Year, Inspirational Speakers Hall of Famers, All World players, and professional box playThe single (and most anticipated) element of our Camp expeers! rience is the featured speaker. Celebrated Chuck Nguyen Beyond the game: We emphasize Sportsmanship & Citizenship What sets our camp apart? Cardigan boasts of a supportive environment, location, facilities, and level of instruction— but, we are most proud of our reputation for teaching lessons beyond the game of lacrosse. From the first camp meeting through the closing ceremony, players will hear references made to life lessons that will serve them well on and off the field. In keeping with the heritage of lacrosse as played by many Native American nations, we want campers to honor and respect the game, their teammates, and their opponents. “We have noticed a significant positive change returns in 2016 to work with the double session players and to speak of lessons learned as a Vietnamese boat refugee, a martial arts expert, and as the grandson of a Vietnamese Buddhist, that have enabled him to effectively confront bullying, exclusion, and discrimination. In 2013 Kevin Pearce, the charismatic half-pipe snowboarder, spoke of his journey back from the devastating accident he suffered while training for the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the brain injury hazards associated with sports. Past inspirational speakers have been: Diana Nyad, Hall of Fame swimmer and renowned TV sports journalist; Sidiki Conde, the irrepressible dancer and drummer; Travis Roy, former Boston U. hockey player; and Carlos Moleda, former Navy SEAL and Ironman champion. Sign up early to avoid disappointment! in our son’s confidence and overall happiness and we believe it all started at Cardigan Mountain Lax Camp.” Have fun and step up your game! We’re one of the very best “teaching” camps. Many players see Cardigan as their best chance to develop their skills prior to upcoming tryouts for select and club teams. It’s a place where they’re assured of receiving individual attention from top-notch coaches in a “we’re all in this together” supportive atmosphere. A typical sentiment expressed at the end of last year’s camp, “My son felt Cardigan helped his confidence. He feels ready for tryouts.” All players receive a written personal evaluation at the end of camp. M GLAND CA EN NT A IN TOP NE P 40 S R A YE O C AR DIGAN U son had a great time at the camp.
