ALBERT HANDELL’S PAINTING WORKSHOP IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY WIMBERLEY, TX This 4 Day indoor/outdoor painting workshop Monday – Thursday, September 9 – 12, 2013 Will be held at and hosted by The Creek Haven Inn Bed & Breakfast 400 Millrace Lane, Wimberley, TX 512.847.9344 512.757.9040 Participants may paint in the medium of their choice All Skill Levels are welcome The all-inclusive price is $1,450.00, which includes full tuition, 4 days/4 nights lodging at the Inn with Breakfast, 4 Lunches and 3 suppers. Not included is the 4th supper, Wednesday evening which will be at the famous BBQ Restaurant, The Salt Lick Barbeque Restaurant (separate checks). Our hosts are Bill and Pat Appleman and you can meet them and see the beautiful Creek Haven Inn and its grounds at www.creekhaveninn.com. Click on their homepage/video. Bill Appleman is handling the registration for the workshop. THE WORKSHOP DAILY SCHEDULE: Check in time is Sunday, Sept. 8, at 5 p.m. Then at 6:30 p.m. we will have our first delicious dinner at the Inn and afterwards, our first get together meeting in the studio which is also located in the Inn. Each morning after breakfast from 9:30 a.m. until noon, there will be a morning demonstration in the studio. The demonstration series will include 3 painting techniques and an in-depth farewell critique: THE DEMONSTRATION SERIES: Monday: Pastel from beginning to finish, subject: Trees Tuesday: Watercolor under-painting finished with pastel (subject to be decided) Wednesday: Oil Painting demo, subject: Mountain Stream – Moving Water Thursday: In Depth critique. For this critique, bring with you 6 or 8 previous works or photos or computer images. We will then have lunch at the inn and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. we well paint on location every afternoon – weather permitting, with help at the easel and a daily critique, on location at the end of the day. At 6:30 p.m. we will all meet and eat a delicious supper at the Inn on Monday and Tuesday Evenings. What is not included is Wednesday night’s farewell supper at the famous Salt Lick Barbeque Restaurant, renowned for its delicious barbeque (separate checks, please).
