The mix of historical treasures and well-loved surroundings gives this Georgian house a unique charm. The Lansdowne family has spent over 250 years collecting art and historical memorabilia. Among many unique items around the house you will find Queen Victoria’s wedding chair, the Keith Jewellery collection and Napoleon’s death mask. Visitors can visit the laboratory were Dr Joseph Priestly discovered oxygen gas, the library with 5000 leather-bound volumes and the chapel which is still used for family services to this day. Lots to enjoy inside and out. Children can play on Tractor Ted beside Ted’s Barn where they can meet friendly farm animals and handle rabbits, guinea pigs, and hens. In the barn see real chicks hatching, enjoy lots of farm games and watch Tractor Ted’s real action farming films. Outside children can ride around the mini tractor track, play ball scooping in the mini digger den and on special occasions see some really big modern farm machines.Young children love it and learn lots.
