Spring Is Approaching with
“Springbrook” April 25-27
It has been so cold you’re probably wondering
when spring or Springbrook will get here? Spring
cannot get here soon enough for me but I know
Springbrook will happen April 25, 26 & 27.
There is no better place or better value then
Springbrook when it comes to renewing our creative photography energies after being inside for
much of the cold winter.
I have lined up a series of speakers that will
revitalize our passion for photography and bring
us together with our N4C friends.
You are going to see programs with lions of
East Africa, tablet technology, polar bears and
more. Lions, Tablets, and Bears! Oh my!
We’ll begin Springbrook with our semi-annual
N4C board meeting on Friday afternoon. Friday
evening after dinner we’ll hear about the PSA
Council Challenge Awards from Gene Schwope
and Jo Eland will present her trip to “Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge.” Deadline for registration
is April 16th

A Message from Doug
At the February 27th Sioux City Camera Club
meeting Doug Conrad volunteered and the club
nominated Bill Schwarz to be on a committee to
research and come up with a recommendation
by the March 13th meeting for a new projector to
be purchased by the Sioux City Camera Club. At
the March 13th meeting Doug Conrad reported
to the club and presented their recommendation for an Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2000
3LCD projector for a purchase price of $799.99.
Mike Greiner moved and was seconded by Jack
Bristow to purchase the recommended projector.
All of the members present voted in favor, and
none opposed. It was also discussed that the
club President will be responsible for the custody
of the projector during his/her term by storing
the projector at their residence, and making sure
it gets to the church each month for the presentation of digital images.
As per our by-laws, members may enter up to 2
(two) entries per category in the Year End
Contest. Entries are due April 17th with prints
being dropped off at Steve Paulson’s porch and
the digital downloaded to digital submissions
as listed below.
• Black and White Print of the year
• Color Print of the year
• Digital Color
• Digital B&W
The above categories must have been entered in
monthly competition during the current camera
club year. They should be clearly marked for
annual awards – previously entered.
Open Class - these need not have been entered
in club competition and should be marked for
open class annual awards.
• Black and White print of the year
• Digital Color
• Digital B&W
Send all digital submissions to digicolor@ sccameraclub.org for color submissions and digibw@
