OTI and Ex-Papalang surveys 2D CSEM and seismic data, courtesy Schlumberger Multiclient. 2015 Makassar Strait Program In 2015, EMGS will acquire 2 surveys in open blocks in Makassar Strait, Indonesia. The OTI survey will be 1,250 km2 and ex-Papalang survey will be 1,200 km2 of full azimuth 3D CSEM data using a 2.5 x 2.5 km receiver grid to simultaneously acquire both inline and azimuthal data. Recent reprocessing of 2D CSEM lines revealed several untested anomalies and the integrated interpretation of the newly acquired 3D CSEM and seismic data will improve volume estimation and reduce drilling risk. Prospectivity The Kutei Basin is the most prolific petroleum basin in Indonesia and the significant gas discoveries of Gehem and Ranggas are just East of the OTI multi-client survey area. Deepwater exploration in the area has focused on Pliocene and Miocene age reservoirs of coarse-grained turbidities in slope channels and basin floor fan deposits. However, basin floor fans can be difficult to map using seismic data alone despite being associated with seismic amplitude events. If these deposits are highly saturated with commercial volumes of hydrocarbons, they would be resistive anomalies. Recent reprocessing of other CSEM data in the area reveals several untested anomalies. OTI survey The Hiu Aman-01 well encountered 13-meters pay approximately 2100 meters below mud line. Recently reprocessed 2D CSEM data acquired over the well indicates a deeper resistive anomaly below the well coincident with a faulted structure. The survey will image this interesting feature and provide valuable insight into seal and charge risking along and can provide volume estimations of additional leads. Ex-Papalang survey The Pananda-1 well situated 40 Km South-East of the Gehem field, encountered a 24 m of gas interval in the Middle Miocene section which confirmed the presence of hydrocarbon in previously untested Mid-Miocene turbidite play. With several other anomalies defined by 2D CSEM lines, the survey will help to create better exploration outcomes with improved constraint on Probability of success (PoS) and Volumetrics. Deliverables include: • Unconstrained 3D CSEM inversion data delivered in SEG-Y - Vertical and Horizontal Resistivity •Anisotropy • Raw data available upon request.
