This is my dorm room. I’ve had an amazing time decorating and living in it. It’s an
amazing space, and I’m really going to miss living here.
Looking through these photos, you can see that my room follows a bit of a theme.
I’ve chosen a blue and green colour scheme, and many of the decorations are
centered around photography and animals.
Enjoy the following slides which display more close up photos and descriptions.
Two panoramic angles of my dorm room.
Above are photos of my fridge and surrounding area.
On my fridge, I have a collection of (mostly horse related) magnets.
On top of my fridge, I keep a candy jar which sits on a cupcake dish cloth. I’ve placed this
dishcloth here so when I have dishes out to dry, they will not damage the top of my fridge.
Placed just above my fridge, I have a hanging photo frame which my horse back riding
lesson buddy gave me as a going away present. It features great lesson and barn memories.
This wall unit is where I keep all of my dishes and cutlery (including my
ever expanding mug collection), as well as many food items, and some
of my books and magazines I read for leisure.
My residence phone, scented sprays and creams, and speakers also
live on this wall unit.
The drawers attached each have there own purpose- For example,
there is a drawer of labeled electronic cords, sweatpants, bathroom
supplies, make up, etc.
This is my corkboard.
I like to pin random
objects and memories
here.
As you can see, I’ve got
a giant Big Bang
Theory poster, as well
as a Marianas Trench
poster which a friend
and I made before
going to a concert.
The cork board has
random nicknacks like
train stubs from my
trip to London,
England, my residence
formal ticket stub, my
first big lotto ticket
win, and letters from
friends.
It is also home to my
small baseball cap
collection.
Below is an example of how I’ve used
some of the bars attached to my closet.
In the photo on the left, you can see I’ve
used this bar to hang up my scarves. I’ve
also placed a stall hanger (a horsie item)
on this bar. I use this stall hanger to store
sweaters.
On The right, is where I hang all of my
belts- including my favorite “western”
belt, which I often use at horse shows or
when at the barn.
Above is the inside of my closet.
The top shelf is where I keep extra blankets,
towels and laundry supplies.
As you can see, I’ve organized my clothing in
the following fashion: Dresses, baggy shirts,
fancy shirts, camisoles, and finally pants.
On the floor of my closet, I’ve put in a shoe
rack to keep my footwear organized. I also like
to hide my laundry basket on the floor of my
closet so there is more space in the main
section of my bedroom.
The photo on the left is the front of my closet door. Here I keep my white
board, where I write down important dates, and keep countdowns.
The photo on the top right is of my keychain collection, it hangs just right of the
closet door.
The photo on the bottom right is of my academic calendar, which I have
attached to my residence light fixture through magnets.
The following
slides will show
some of my
favorite features
of my desk and
work area.
I decorated this shelf
door with various
photos of my favorite
horses, past and
present pets, and my
best friends.
I also keep my
current course
schedule here for
easy access in case I
need to know a time
or place of a class.
This shelf features my DVD collection (mostly filled with Disney Classics, my favorite 80’s
movies, and horse flicks), as well as my clock radio- responsible for getting my up on time
for class, and a cute Lion King inspired nicknack.

clinic with Olympic Eventer Jessica

Hanging on the left of the frame is a
rafiki bracelet given to me by a friend
who recently helped build a school in
Kenya, as well as a UoG bracelet of
hope.
On the right is a bracelet reading
‘Chocolat’, given to me by a friend as
a reminder of my favorite horse.

pony given to me by
a close friend for
my 18th birthday.

and given to me by
a great Aunt. The
bear is made of a
fur coat which
belonged to my
grandmother who
past away a few
years ago.
(Right) This unicorn
came to me in the
form of a birthday
card. When you
press the indicated
area, it says various
magical , loving
sayings.

reminder to stay
relaxed and drink
tea! An individual

left at home when I left for
university.

Seminar in
London, England
on a school trip

Summerlee.
The following slides show photos of my bed and
surrounding area.
My favorite part of my dorm room is the
photo collage that I’ve created above my
bed. At the beginning of the year, I
printed off over 100 photos and spent
days sticking them on the walls. The
photos are of my favorite things and my
favorite people. They’re photos which
define me- my love for my friends, my
‘obsession’ with horses, my soft spot for
my pets, and my love for volunteering.
The photos above are the decorations which sit on my bed.
I purchased the Union Jack neck pillow on my way home from our school trip to London. I still use it when I’m sitting in my residence bed- its
surprisingly comfortable.
The small horse that is on my bed loves to be cuddled! But it’s not quite the same as sleeping with my dog at home or real horsie hugs. I love it
anyways.
The monkey which sits on my bed was part of a university care package that my friends made for me for my 18 th birthday. He’s a love monkey, and
sports cute little white boxers with hearts all over them. He’s a constant reminder of my best friends.
The photos below display my fairy lights, which I have hung up all the way around my room. I love them to death. They make my room feel lovely and
magical, and they help to highlight my photo collage and corkboard. They’re also fantastic to have on when relaxing and watching movies in bed!
