Always Magical
Dining!
With choices from popular franchises to
local favorites, Minot offers food that’s as
fun as it is flavorful. Take your pick of thick,
juicy burgers, steaks and ribs. Or try
regional specialties like pheasant,
elk, bison or fresh grilled
walleye. Put it together
with the perfect wine
and the magical Minot
mood for a fantastic
dining experience!
8
Try some local favorites on your visit! 10 North Main
features fine, upscale dining. We recommend the
smoked pheasant and bottle of 2007 Duckhorn
Savignon Blanc. Or head to the Wild Things Gallery
and Alaska Alder Grill for some ribs, grilled
outdoors over smokey Alaskan alderwood. For more
great choices for seafood and fine American and
Italian cuisine, look to Michael’s Restaurant, Primo
in the Grand International, and Sevens Bar &
Restaurant in The Vegas Motel! We also recommend

Always Magical Things to
See and Do!
The hallmark of a great trip is being able to
find fun things to see and do—and Minot
offers plenty! Sure, our city has changed
since the flood of 2011. But we believe in our
city treasures enough that we’re rebuilding
and making it better than ever for your visit.
Visit art galleries or the studios of local
artists. See historic trains and aircraft in
enthralling museums. Take in the symphony,
stage productions, concerts or a night on the
town with friends, fun and live music. Have
fun all day; stay out as late as you want!
You’ll find Minot is always magical!

SOME FAVORITES
Roosevelt Park Zoo
North Dakota’s oldest zoo has
been a long-time favorite for
residents and visitors alike. The
flood of 2011 was a difficult
time for this city treasure. But
our animals are safe, thanks to
many zoos who came to help
from around the region and
country. Our gibbons and
zebras are visiting Bismarck
while our penguins are visiting
St. Paul, Minnesota. During the
flood, the Minot Park District
established a rebuilding fund to
which many people have
graciously donated. We love
our zoo. We look forward to
welcoming our animals
back—and our visitors, too!

The Minot area has a proud history of
beautiful golf courses. Visitors to the
region are accustomed to playing
gorgeous courses and lush, green
fairways that weave their way through
the Souris River valley. Many of our
courses were inundated during the
flood of 2011. Our Minot Country
Club, once rated the state’s best
classic course by Golfweek magazine,
was one of them. The Jack Hoeven
Wee Links, North Dakota’s only junior
golf course made specifically for kids,
was another.
We are working hard to reopen these
courses and restore them to being
some of the best courses in the
region. To find out about course
openings, please contact the Minot
Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Meanwhile, enjoy nearby courses in
Velva, Kenmare, Mohall, Westhope
and Bottineau, as well as the
Roughrider Golf Course, open to the
public at the Minot Air Force Base
