SUMMER CAMP 2015 City of Walnut Creek Registration Begins March 2 SUMMER CAMP 2015 AGES 6-13 Summer Camp Kids’ Night Out/ Kids Overnighter! Back by popular demand, we are offering two options of Kids’ Night Out activities! You can register for the regular night out or overnighter. This night is filled with a tasty dinner, games, stories and entertainment provided by our 2015 Camp Leaders. Overnighter will have bagels and juice in the morning. Requires enrollment in Walnut Creek Day Camp, or Walnut Creek Sports Camp. Participants must have been enrolled in a session ending on or before the Kids’ Night Out event. Themed-boats are made of masking tape, cardboard, and white glue. Each boat is large enough to carry a camp leader across the pool and back. Awards are given both to the race winner and to the camp with the most creative theme. Campers from afternoon camps attend the race during camp hours. Morning-only campers are encouraged to attend the event with their parents or guardians to participate in the boat parade and support their counselors in the cheering section. Don’t be bored, come to teen camp! Enjoy hanging out with your peers as Teens ages 13-15 are invited to sign up for the Junior Recreation you enjoy plenty of recreational activities, field trips to various Leader Program and learn the fundamentals of being a Recreation amusement parks, and swimming. Build friendships and create Leader! Teens will spend 12-35 hours per week assisting staff memories with other local teens. This camp is designed for teens members in various city day camps. Program includes training, and is geared toward the independent teen. *Trips subject to t-shirt, instruction from experienced staff and a completion change. Children build confidence and develop social skills while making new friends in a safe, supportive environment. Our warm, nurturing staff provide age-appropriate arts and crafts, games, water play and other exciting adventures designed to promote creativity and socialization. Campers must be potty-trained. Each session revolves around a special theme that includes a daily craft, playtime, stories, as well as featuring special park and water days. A camp t-shirt is included with each registration. Must be 3 years old at the start of the session. Some Field Trips to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, Walnut Creek Train Museum and Encore Gymnastics may be booked during the summer. Make a splash with your own paper aquarium, create turtle shakers and decorate other colorful sea creatures. SESSION 2: SEASONS Class 281369:30am-12:00pm 7/6 – 7/16 In our second session of the summer, we will be exploring the four seasons, fall, winter, spring and summer and the animals associated with each magnificent season of the year! Just hope we don’t have to bundle up too much when “winter” comes! SESSION 3: WACKY WORLD Class 281379:30am-12:00pm 7/20 – 7/30 Our third session of Camp Tenderfoot will be calling upon every child to let loose and go wild! Spanning the whole spectrum of games, crafts, and activities, we will put no stop to the children’s creativity.
