HAPPY NEW YEAR
I can’t quite believe it is 2016 and that
we started this project back in 2009.
Wow. Thank you so much for your
support in getting us here. This year
looks set to be as busy as ever, which is
just fab. We have AMP’D 2016 coming up
soon (see overleaf), plus this is a big year
for our own Holiday Club material
‘Navigate’ as we take it on tour round
churches during the summer. We also
have plans to write a new Christmas
production, where we’ll team up with the
brilliantly creative Todd brothers,
Matthew and Phil, to help write, direct
and perform it. We are looking forward
to what 2016 will bring.

Fergus Munro and Rachel Barr (pictured
left) spent some time with us from
September to December as part of their
Gap Year with Scripture Union. It was
brilliant having them with us and sharing
in our assemblies, holiday clubs and our
Christmas production. They are now in
Glasgow working with Fiona Stewart of
Foolproof Arts. We want to thank SU for
this opportunity to partner with them in
their Gap Year programme.

2015
We started off the year at Deep Impact, a training event held in
Aviemore for people working with children and young people. This
is a great event and a nice start to the year. We then had our
amazing AMP’D event which saw us film a fantasy feature film with
all 26 of the young people attending. If you haven’t seen the film
then head over to our YouTube channel right now, you won’t be
disappointed.
We then spent a lot of time writing our brand new Holiday Club
material titled ‘Navigate’ (see overleaf for more info). Our summer
was filled with Holiday Clubs across the country. Fabulous time
working with some brilliant volunteers and young people.
An outreach event with the Faith Mission (with the wonderful
Geddes’s puppeteering) a trip down to Dumfries working with a
school and local church, two holidays clubs in October and then a
run of Christmas performances across the North finished off 2015.

We were delighted to have Fergus and Rachel for the whole month of
December 2015 as we drove round the country visiting schools and
churches and performing our Christmas Musical, titled ’The Best Day Ever’.
We performed the show in 8 schools and 7 churches, travelling just over
1000 miles. It was tiring but so much fun.
We have had various versions of our Christmas musical over the years all
stemming from our original script I wrote about 10 years ago. I have loved
this script and will probably dip back into it for different events in the
future but I felt it was time for something new in 2016. Very excited about
what we might write. Can’t wait for Christmas now. Ha. :-)
N AV I G AT E H O L IDAY C LU B
This is our venture into writing our very own Holiday Club material. This was an exciting project to be involved in. Carol had
the idea for the theme and what the teaching material would look like and with the help of Jonathan Fraser (Youth Pastor at
Hilton Church in Inverness) and a few others we created Navigate. The material will give you everything you need to deliver a
daily 2 hour programme over five days. Navigate will take everyone on a journey through the Bible from Creation to Heaven,
filled with up-front Bible teaching, small group discussion resources, a puppet character on DVD along with the main teaching
DVD created with the help of Philip Todd.
We trialled Navigate at Hilton Parish Church and Kirkhill Parish Church during the October holidays last year and we got some
great feedback from the volunteers involved. We are currently in the process of refining the material, taking into account the
suggestions from the feedback in October.
We are so excited to have this opportunity and are looking forward to rolling Navigate out in the summer.

Our AMP’D performing arts event is back again this year
during the February school holidays. Our website (address on
the poster to the right) has all the details about this event,
which is aimed at Christian young people in P5 through to S2.
This event really seeks to mentor and disciple young people
in their creative walk with God. I totally love AMP’D and are
thankful for the Todd family for partnering with us to make
this event so special for the young people involved.
At this years event we have creative streams of Acting,
Puppets and Dance. We’ll have an AMP’D choir and will be
producing a music video with a difference, all focusing on the
miracles of Jesus. Let the creative fun begin.
Registration forms are on our website. Spaces are limited.
THINGS
TO
P R AY
FOR
Please pray for all the children we will come into contact with this year, that they would hear something new about Jesus and
that they would respond to what they hear. Please pray for safety as we travel all over Scotland. Please pray that some new
churches and schools will be interested in what we are doing and want to use us. Please pray in thanks for what we have
achieved with God’s help so far.
