Chuck
a “hippy” duck for Take the Lead!
Join us on Friday, June 8, 2012 for
Chuck a Duck 2012! The duck closest to
the lillypad in the center of the ring will win.
You may split the proceeds with Take The
Lead or be generous and donate it all.
You get to keep your signature hippy duck after the toss!
Look for the Chuck a Duck table and roaming duck peddlers. Toss
to be held between the first and second groups on Friday. Ducks are
$10.00 each and will be sold starting on Thursday.
Notice to Exhibitors
Trophies must be picked up each day of the shows. None will be mailed.
Crates and setups must be kept at least 10 feet from all rings.
Exercise Pens are not allowed in any of the buildings where dogs are being exhibited.
Cleaning Up after your own dogs is your responsibility. These are Self-Cleaning shows.
If your dog soils the grounds it is your responsibility to clean it up. There will be buckets with
bleach and pooper-scoopers on the grounds. By signing the entry form for these shows you
are agreeing that clean up is your responsibility.
5. Dog washing on the Fairgrounds. The 1996 Clean Water Act is enforced at the Solano
County Fairgrounds. All gray water (soapy water from washing dogs) must be discharged
into sanitary sewer systems only and not dumped onto the ground or into storm drains. A
hefty fine can be leveled against offenders. As a service to our exhibitors, we will offer a
dog wash area located at the East end of the main concourse, directly behind the Livestock
Building.
6. Food and Beverage policy. The Solano County Fairgrounds has put some restrictions
on the show site that we need to honor. If your club is holding a luncheon, after show get
together, etc. they may do so if it is a potluck. Food cannot be catered by an outside source,
nor can money be collected for food during the luncheon/get together. If you wish, you may
use the Fairground Vendor, Ovations - Eric Burke, (707) 551-2014; cell (916) 706-7461. They
can cater any event you may wish. Ovations also has Wine and Beer available and can offer/
serve these spirits. The following additional rules must be followed:
a) Alcoholic beverages cannot be served on the show grounds during show hours
except in the RV parking areas and booths managed by Ovations. Exception: Your
own wine can be served if under Ovations control. An Ovations representative can
mark unopened bottles of wine and a $7.50 corkage fee paid per bottle.
b) Any hot foods served at a potluck must be heated to maintain a hot temperature
during serving. Electric heating devices can only be used in areas with adequate
electrical service.
c) Any cold foods containing mayonnaise or other ingredients subject to spoilage must
be maintained at a cold temperature during serving. Ice filled trays, pans or chests
may be used. Trays are available at a nominal fee from Ovations.
Fairgrounds Representatives will enforce these rules. Please give them your full
cooperation.
