It is one of 17 campuses around the province with quality programs designed to meet industry needs, and is colocated with Labrador Institute of Memorial University. The campus also provides a variety of Continuing Education programs and Contract Training initiatives with community partners all across Labrador. Their mandate is to carry out research, education, collaboration and outreach, linking Labrador with the resources of Memorial University. Current programs include intersession courses, courses in education, Bachelor of Social Work program, and Lifelong Learning offerings. The staff complement of eight people expands annually with the appointment of two post-doctoral fellows based in Labrador The LI provides assistance to researchers with the appointment of a Professor of Community Health.
