Layout 2 - Shoreline Suncruisers
Scarborough’s famous castle keep,
dating from the 12th century under
the reign of Henry II.
A little about us...
Shoreline Suncruisers started operating on
Scarborough seafront in March 1991.
It runs the seafront service 109 from the Sands
Complex in the peaceful North Bay to the Spa Complex
at the end of the hustle and bustle of the sun filled
South Bay. The bus travels around the scenic Marine
Drive, which links the two bays together, between
March and October.
Scarborough - first held by the Romans, then ruled
by the Viking Thorgills Skarthi. She soon became

was set up in 1991 then in March 2000 it became solely
owned by the Stephenson family. In addition to Jack, his
wife Rosemary and son Tom also became involved in the
business.
The Famous
Scarborough
Open Top Tour Bus
In October 2001 a new company, JR Promotions Limited,
with the same ownership as Shoreline Suncruisers was
formed to operate a fleet of hard top double decker
buses on school contract and private hire work.
Initially three buses were purchased but it very quickly
became evident that the business was expanding at a
rapid pace. Both companies were merged in March
2014 to become Shoreline Suncruiser Buses Ltd.
The company operates a fleet of single and double
decker buses, most of which are fitted with luxury
coach seats with seatbelts. We also have executive
49, 51 and 71 seater coaches; all of these are available
for private hire.
