Only 3 years after its official opening and a few months after the 50th Anniversary Volvo World Match Play Championship,
Thracian Cliffs was awarded as European Golf Resort of the Year 2014. The big award has been voted by the International
Association of Golf Tourism Operators (IAGTO), which is the global trade organization of the golf industry. The prize was
given on Thursday November 14th, 2013 at the IAGTO Awards gala dinner during the International Golf Travel Market
(IGTM) in Spain.
The European Golf Resort of the Year award is voted by IAGTO’s specialist golf tour operator members, which now number
over 516 from 62 different countries. Each operator was asked to vote for what they considered to be the best performing

The Golf Course
Framed by rugged coastal cliffs and the vast blue of the Black
Sea, the 18-hole Gary Player designed Signature course at
Thracian Cliffs is one of the most dramatic golf courses on
earth.
Carefully selected multiple tees on every hole allow players of
all levels to be both challenged in their play and inspired by
the incredible views.
Covering 164 hectares of wild scenic terrain, the course
stretches 4.5 kilometers along the coast bestowing a truly
exhilarating golf experience.
The Beach
Bendida Beach is an unspoiled and cozy spot, located directly
on the seafront of Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort. Easy to
find and hard to leave, Bendida Beach is the right place to
escape heat, to eat, drink and relax during the day.
Argata Beach is beautiful natural and small virgin beach
designated to hotel guests only. Enjoy massage and relax in a
natural wooden Jacuzzi under the shades of the silver olive
trees on the beach. Or just enjoy your favorite cocktail under
the shade of the cabana or under the leafy silver olive next to
the bar. The guests can drink water from the natural waterfall
on the beach.
The Restaurants
Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort offers four dining options:
the main Gourmet restaurant, Club house, Marroccan style
beach restaurant and Provencial style beach restaurant.
Bendida and Argata Restaurants are located right on the
seashore nestled among rugged cliffs, gazing at the golden
sands and the sea. They offer sea food, meat and Marroccan
style dishes.
Geti Restaurant sits on a top of the cliff, integrated into
the landscape with airy terrace, providing spectacular and
uninterrupted panoramic view over the Black Sea. It offers
the best of Bulgarian natural local ingredients, great wine
selection and tasty sea and meat food.

The Spa
The place is exquisitely designed in elegant Moroccan style and
provides exceptional body massage and SPA treatments in a
private setting.
There is unique combination of the best therapies of both
worlds – the Thracian healing traditions using yoghurt, grapes,
Black Sea mud and honey, and the Moroccan body treatment
based on the best of the Oriental practices implemented in the
typical authentic Hammam.
“The Rosa Damescena Massage” is a combination between
Swedish and Shiatsu massage with specific oil from the
Bulgarian “Rosa Damascena” petals carefully selected from the
world famous Kazanlak (Rose) Valley.
The Real Estate and Accommodation
Carefully blending the architecture into the existing
environment, Thracian Cliffs has a village-like atmosphere.
The resort offers two different villages conveniently located
within walking distance of each other.
The Marina Village offers one, two, and three bedroom
residences each with spectacular views from every room of
the Black Sea.
The Hillside Village offers studio, one, two or three
bedroom residences all with incredible views of the golf

The Land of the Champions
In 2013 Thracian Cliffs hosted the 50th Anniversary of Volvo
World Match Play Championship. The world’s best 24 golfers
hailed the Volvo World Match Play Championship at Thracian
Cliffs a huge success as Graeme McDowell lifted the trophy
to win the title and the €800,000 first prize.
The strategic movement of Volvo and IMG to organize the
Volvo World Match Play Championship in Bulgaria is a great
recognition for Thracian Cliffs. The Championship generated
worldwide media coverage, with approximately 1,600 hours
of golf broadcast to half a billion households.
