At the end of the installation, a new Group of programs "COSWIN Interfaces / I.O.P 6.1" will be automatically created. Four icons will be defined : - SYMBOL ERRORS (for errors administration after transfer) - SYMBOL Communication (to run before each transfer) - I.O.P 6.1 (Data importation program from SYMBOL to COSWIN) - I.O.P 6.1 Language ( allows to choose the language of the program) Ver 6.1.x Page 4 SIVECO GROUP I.O.P. installation Guide 2.2 I.O.P. PARAMETERIZING Proceed in the two following steps if you want the automatic Data transfer of SYMBOL to COSWIN to be done in good conditions : 2.2.1 INTERFACE PARAMETERIZING I.O.P. program runs by clicking on corresponding icon. The window giving access to the data is then displayed. Password: The password to be entered here is the COSWIN INTERFCS user password. License directory: It’s the complete path where is the LICENS.DAT file. Instance: This is a COSWIN Instance Alias. Schema: This is a COSWIN working Schema. After defining all these parameters, you can now access to the Coswin database using the Login button. After being connected to C/S database, the main window of the application is displayed. Program name Program menu Page 6 SIVECO GROUP I.O.P.Guide 4.1) Menu Configuration / Directories This menu allows to set data file (of the terminal), log file (Program's errors), and trace file (Rejected lines) paths and names. You can choose the open mode for the log and trace file (Overwrite to have a new file or Append to save the previous run's information), and print them at the processing's end. These parameters are saved in the .INI file of the application in the [SIVECO] section. Log and Trace files open mode Log and Trace files print option Page 7 SIVECO GROUP I.O.P.Guide 4.2) File / Run menu The File / Run menu allows to set the process parameters (see File formats configuration screen). 4.3) Configuration / Parameters menu This option opens the Windows NOTEPAD.EXE text editor with the .INI file of the application. Page 8 SIVECO GROUP I.O.P.Guide 4.4 ) Processing screen This statistics window allows to control the evolution of the file processing. You can stop the transfer by keying <ESC>. Details about lines in error are listed in the log file (File / Log File). All along the process, you can see its evolution through a gauge, and the statistics. Line(s) read gives the number of lines already read in the data file. Line(s) in error gives the number of rejected lines (not correct). They are written in the trace file. Line(s) treated gives the number of imported lines in the COSWIN database. Line(s) ignored gives the number of lines already processed in a previous program run (see Program re-Run). Page 9 SIVECO GROUP I.O.P.Guide 4.5) File / Log file menu To view errors or statistics, you can use the "Log File" option from the File menu. If you click on it you could view the log file (statistics) or the trace file (rejected lines). Clicking on the «View» button displays the following screen : Page 10 SIVECO GROUP I.O.P.Guide 5) PROGRAM RE-RUN. If the user has stopped the processed (by keying <ESC>), the program saves the number of the last treated line (LINE_FILE in the .INI file). So, in case of re-Run, all the lines comprised between the beginning of the file and the number saved are ignored. 6) IMPORTED DATA LIST. The data file is made of lines containing fields depending on the type of data. Transaction type is the prefix at the beginning of the line.
