GEORGE CLOONEY STOOD UP
Who is the lady member of MUDTA who had intended
to gate-crash George Clooney’s wedding when she was in
Venice? She had hoped to speak up when the Celebrant
asked for any reason why George should not be married
to Amal Alamuddin citing her own wish to
marry him.
Unfortunately, her travelling partner injured an ankle and ended up on crutches
and they had to cancel the trip.
As another well-respected lady member of
MUDTA was heard to say “I bet George was really disappointed about that”!
Here’s a clue—Her initials are PMc

MUDTA NEWEST LIFE MEMBER
KERRIE SOLOMON INDUCTED 9 SEPTEMBER 2014
At the recently held AGM, Kerrie
Solomon, was inducted as a Life
Member of MUDTA for her many
years of service which have been
conducted in her quiet manner without thought of accolades.
Kerrie has been co-ordinator of the
Junior Competition since 2003 and
has co-ordinated the Junior Championships each year. She has continued
doing this well after he own children
stopped playing tennis.
Kerrie has been part of the Management Committee since 2008,
has been the club’s Publicity Officer for many years and has tirelessly assisted with the Treasurer’s position, many fund raising
events, catering and in recent years has become a court supervisor for junior and senior tournaments. She has now progressed
to Referee status with her dedication to all her positions having
no bounds.
Kerrie’s energy and volunteering efforts she gives to tennis is
inspiring. She has been overheard saying, “I’m the winner when
volunteering with all the fun times I’ve had over the many years
and many friendships developed from doing so”. Kerrie is a quiet
achiever with her dedication to always working hard at the club
and with the club’s best interests at heart. She is highly respected not only within the local tennis club but by many others who
