YOUR MANUFACTURER OF WELDED METAL STRUCTURES
On the 1st of September 1928, Iulius Horer founded ,,METALURGICA FACTORY & FOUNDRY”at 15th, Brailei Road - the
current headquarters of S.C. AROMET S.A., which enables us to believe that AROMET S.A. is the oldest industrial company in
the city of BUZAU. On this structure, one created GRUP ROMET - a holding company made up of 8 companies.
With a tradition of over 40 years in the field, AROMET offers a wide range of small & medium size products, customized to
our costumers’ needs.
The first goods manufactured here were cast iron products
(manual casting) such as: hydrants, metal frames, stoves, hot coal
irons and different other tools for the household. After 1973, the
year when the company was reorganized under the name of
“METALURGICA” Buzau, the factory gradually grew and became
of national interest.
Thus, after 1973, one installed here a mechanized foundry and
several technological lines for the manufacturing of a wide range of
cast items and of tractor components such as breaks, belt
transmissions, oil baths, etc. Besides, one also built different other
workshops: a tractor components welding workshop, a fire
extinguisher workshop, a pressure vessels workshop, a forged
pieces workshop, a stamping dies workshop, an electrostatic field
painting workshop, a machining workshop, and a pattern
workshop.
Right now, AROMET SA manufactures and sells medium and
small size metal structures, fire-fighting equipments,
and
subassemblies for water and waste water treatment plants. We
also offer technical gasses bottling services, and pressure
vessels checking & fixing services.
Our main capabilities :
1. The total surface of the production areas and of the annex
buildings of AROMET SA amounts to 27,000 sqm, out of which
approx. 10,500 are rented to other companies that belong to Grup
Romet. The remaining 16,500 sqm are used for the current
activities of the company itself: 6,800 sqm for the execution of
welded metal structures, and the remaining 9,700 sqm for other
activities.
2. Management system certificates according to: ISO
9001:2008; ISO 14001:2004; ISO / CEI 27001:2006; SA
8000:2008; OHSAS 18001:2007.
3. The monthly processing capacity for welded metal works is
of 150-200 To/month.
4. The company is qualified for the execution of welded metal
structures according to: EWF – EN ISO 3834-2 and DIN 18800 7/2002, D class. The qualifications were obtained from well-known
institutes such as SLV Munich and ISIM Timisoara.
5. Staff certification:
- IWE – obtained from ISIM Timisoara
- NDT (UT,PT,MT,VT) according to EN 473 – obtained
from ISIM Timisoara and from TUV.
- welders and MAG welding operators authorized by
Bureau Veritas and by ISIM Timisoara
- 12 authorized welding procedures.
