Everyone dictates their own environments. From how
they arrange the mouse mat on the desk to how
they interact with the complex structures in which
they live and work.
Essentially, we’re all managing the relationship
between space and what fills it. More often than not,
the result is compromise.
But what if the result was amazement? What if our
environment challenged logic or even changed our
way of thinking?
Bluebottle say, why not? To us, every space is an
opportunity to do something beautiful rather than
ordinary, to be provocative not invisible.
We describe what we do as liberating and
enhancing space. Our hope is that our buildings
liberate and enhance the lives of those living and
working inside and around them.
Method Statement
The Old Dairy
Formerly a dairy, this property has been transformed into a contemporary seven
bedroom house. The ghost of its former warehouse feel remains in the double height
gallery. New fully glazed facades to the central secluded courtyard have opened up
the building within itself. The feature staircase, glazing and architectural lighting help to
enhance the simplicity of the space.

Different types and sizes of openings are created for the display of both commissioned
and collected sculptures. The project has featured on the cover of Architects Journal
and was shortlisted for the annual RIBA small projects award.
