Established in 2000, Able is fully SAGGA accredited. Able is currently a
Level 4 BBBEE rated company and in the process of implementing a
51% BBBEE Shareholding held by a trust on behalf of all of the company’s
employees, including two appointed directors to the board. Once this Shareholding
is in place we will be a proudly Level 1 rated business.
Able’s factory is compliant with ISO9001 2008 practices and we are scheduled for
our first certification audit in December 2014.
By Green Screen-Recycling our materials and components we have successfully
kept them out of the landfill by collecting, segregating, processing and remanufacturing the collected goods into new re-usable products. Therefore we
are able to pass the goods we collect on to others as a new re-usable panel or
screen. Essentially we turn used materials into valuable resources.

Able provides a screening, division, partitioning or walling system to suit any
imaginable design requirement, including a range of vertically complimentary
products. Together with our interior walling systems, we manufacture and install
acoustic baffles, desk based screens, floor screens, restroom partitions and are in
the process of developing a number of further products in our factory in Steeldale.
We have an ever improving line of products that give our clients the opportunity to
build interiors that are of better quality, faster and more affordable than they can
using other systems.
We have streamlined our processes, providing quality products, competitive price
structures, excellent service levels and customer satisfaction.
We are extremely happy with both projects and love our new
offices, it has made a big difference to the look and feel of the
space. It has been a pleasure to deal with all at Able Walling.
As a company we don’t normally have contractors working on
site during office hours due to the nature of our business,
but with Able’s professionalism and extremely neat work
we hardly knew they were here.

Movable Walling – is classed as furniture
therefore is not a fixture to the building, this allows
the partitions to be written off after 7 years.

item, and therefore becomes the purchaser’s
property.
Drywall – is classed as a fixture to the building,

i. Can be relocated to different premises.

We have various solutions that make it possible
to integrate services within solid & glass
products by means of various aluminium
reticulation options, and standard conduits with
termination boxes in specific product lines.
It is possible to install services via conduits.
However, changes at a later stage can be
challenging due to void heights being restrictive
and finding the steel stud work behind the
gypsum board.
Changes at a later stage are quick and easy, by
means of access or simply replace that given
panel with the correct configuration.
Changes are invariably messy and require
multiple trades to revive, replaster and repair.

spaces all the ratings can be met, we are in the
process of getting SABS approvals for higher

various shop front alternatives for glass panels
and various combinations within certain product
lines.
The product is in a solid format and is seamless

iii. The only wet works undertaken with our
products in on the Re-usable dry wall as there
is skimming of the joints, this is minimal in
comparison to Drywall.
iii. Drywall is classed as a type of wet work
which is very dusty and messy to the area
being installed. Deep cleaning is often
required after installation and this comes at
an additional cost.

Drywall – down time
i. Small changes on site can be handled over
weekends or in the evenings resulting in no
down time. Therefore no loss of income is
experience by the client.

ii. Large changes on site can be phased to
minimise the disruption to the area being
attended to, but that area will be inaccessible
due to the messy work.
iii. Certain materials and bonding agents require
a minimum dry or curing time and this leads
to the extended time spent on site.
iv. Installation time spent on site can be time
consuming dependant on the change due to
the product not being reusable, this means
that anything that is demolished generally
has to be thrown away and new materials
need to be used in its place. Given the
new configuration there will be repair work
required to the floors, walls and ceiling.

Movable Walling
System
The Able Reusable Dry Wall is a full-height, demountable, flexible, solid panel and
floor-to-ceiling partitioning system. Able’s Reusable Dry Wall is a fully Movable
Wall Panel System that enables construction of interior walls normally linked with
solid masonry and drywall.
The construction is thinner, quicker and cheaper to install. BUT unlike masonry and
drywall, the wall panels are fully demountable and reusable. This is achievable due
to the all-round performance of the Able Reusable Dry Wall panels. The system
is ideally suited to any interior space where drywall would traditionally be used.
And at the same time requires the ability to reconfigure spaces as needs change
over time.

All Able Reusable Dry Wall partitions attach to the ceiling. The partitions use
adjustable feet and skirting that allows for variances in floor to ceiling heights. The
system leaves no permanent marks or fixtures on the floor or ceiling. The elegant
clip-on skirting completes the installation. Able’s Reusable Dry Wall uses the Able
cabling range of products to ensure that power and voice & data cabling can be
routed to any point within the interior space, while retaining a sleek and elegant
finish.
Screening finishes
The panels are manufactured from a combination of a polyurethane core,
vertical aluminium posts and various surfaces, depending on the application.
These surface finishes can consist of MGO or Laminate board, laminate
foils, zinc-alume or magnesium oxide board, depending on their application.
They provide superior fire, acoustic and impact performance and completely
eliminate wet trade. The system makes practical, technical and commercial
sense.
In order to create a fully integrated suite of components for construction
interior spaces, Able’s Reusable Dry Wall easily integrates with the 50mm Solid,

Able’s 50mm Solid Movable Walling System is a traditional full-height, demountable
and flexible floor-to-ceiling partitioning system. All the screens in the 50mm Solid
screen range are made from an aluminium framework with a wide variety of
finishes. The system is ideally suited to any interior space that requires internal
walls to demarcate spaces and create privacy.
The 50mm Solid Movable Walling System is manufactured from a set of design
registered 50mm aluminium profiles. The profiles are the only single-panel sidedemountable system on the market. They use the Able patent pending panel-topanel clipping system. Unlike other systems on the market, Able’s system provides
for quick and easy demounting of any panel from a wall as a single segment
without the need to remove adjacent panels or to demount an entire wall.

he Frameless Glass Movable Walling System delivers all the aesthetics of a shopfront, but in a Movable Walling Solution. Able’s Frameless Glass system makes
it possible to create continuous glass panel walls without vertical support and
without the need for unsightly bracing fins. The system maximise the amount of
natural light that flows into a space. It is ideal for creating meeting rooms and
executive offices in open plan spaces.
A flexible and slim-line solution
The Frameless Glass Movable Walling System is a fully demountable system. It
consists of extruded aluminium profiles fixed to the floor and ceiling that hold
toughened or laminate glass sheets in place. The system uses either single
or double glazed panels with transparent polycarbonate joints and acoustic
insulation gaskets. Frameless Glass creates great demarcated offices, corridors

Able’s Frameless Glass allows one to create an endless glass wall that maximises
natural lighting. Creating brighter and more attractive spaces. These features result
in friendlier and more productive environments. Because the panels do not require
vertical posts, walls can be specified with unlimited butt-glazing. This allows one
to design spaces without visual breaks as a result of the profiles being thinner
and smaller. The aluminium tracks go unnoticed. The solid glass wall facades are
finished with hinged or sliding transparent doors to complete the system.
Traditional shop-front installations are often beautiful but they are labour intensive
and expensive. This results in excess material waste and a work space that cannot
be relocated. Able’s Frameless Glass Movable Walling System is created in our
factory to ensure timely installation and minimum disruption on site. This results in
less waste on site and saves valuable time and money.

Able’s 100mm Executive is an all-inclusive Movable Walling System. Developed to
address all the needs of modern day building requirements where spaces need
to adjust to users’ changing requirements.
The system offers an intelligent solution, where transparent glass can be placed
alongside solid panels, partitioned or otherwise and that can easily be reconfigured
again over the life cycle of the building. The partitioning walls, including glass and
solid panels, are 100mm thick. Partitions are no longer a limitation but the drive to
create the right place to make you feel at ease. Panels come in faced chipboard,
wood, varnished, covered in fabric, in transparent glass, painted, and with inserted
or adhesive decorative films.
The 100mm Executive Movable Walling System has almost unlimited chromatic

Flexible private workspaces and meeting rooms anywhere
Office-in-a-Box allows the opportunity to divide open spaces and create closed
or partially closed rooms. The screens’ variety of sizes and configurations means
that for the first time, open plan spaces can deliver the same level of scope offered
by the combination of fixed cellular space and open plan areas. Not only that, their
complete flexibility and simple assembly means that you can experiment, alter
and fine-tune your office or building configuration to suit the requirements of a
particular team or project, easily and effectively.
The Office-in-a-Box concept takes advantage of all of Able’s 50mm products, we
have developed our own ceiling section. We supply a PU ceiling board with our
solution which provides a thermal benefit. We supply the lighting and plug points
as per you specifications.
The product is shipped in panels and ceiling sections and is erected on site, once
installation is complete all you need to do is put the furniture and provide power
and you are ready to work.
Because the system is designed around our demountable products it makes the
Office-in-a-Box demountable too so you can add or take away, change the shape
or pack it up and move it. You can also build larger rooms by adding extra panels.
Fixed partition rooms require planning, coordination with external building trades,
building regulation approval and permanent connections into the buildings
infrastructure. All of which incur cost, over the initial build cost. Office-in-a-Box
does not. We do all of the hard work for you, simply assemble, plug in and play
with a guaranteed acoustic performance. Once in place you’ll have all the flexibility
you need, always.

Floor Based Screens
The Floor Based Screens from Able are sleek low-level, floor based screens. The
system is fully stackable and flexible, the design of the aluminium sections allows
for the screen to be curved. The emphasis is on creating cordoned off spaces
with ease by minimizing the number of components used.
The screen design is multi- functional, incorporating both a low-level, solid panel,
and a curved panel, fixing either to desks or through the use of freestanding feet
to stand apart from existing structures.
Desk Based Screens
Able’s Desk and Floor Based Screens are an aluminium framed low level (floor
based and desk-mounted) screening system. It is our most flexible offering – the
screens can be curved vertically, horizontally and diagonally. And it is our only
system that can be stacked.

Aluminium framed power panels designed for particularly high tech applications
expands the capability of the product. It meets all voice and data requirements by
centralising all cabling in the base of the unit. Accessing all cabling is made quick
and easy as a result of the removable cover.
Able’s Desk and Floor Based Screens comprise of either a board or acoustic
dampening foam centre surrounded by a rigid aluminium frame. Able’s Desk and
Floor Based Screens has interchangeable end covers which facilitates panel-topanel junctions without poles, therefore reducing costs. The design of the angled
junction end cap, in conjunction with an ‘H’ piece, has given the system the ability
to create a multitude of angles without any additional manufactured components.
The interchangeable end covers also means that a run of screens can be finished
off aesthetically.
The hollow design of the glazing section gives this particular section immense
strength for its size. This allows Able’s Desk and Floor Based Screens to make
use of less rigid glazing mediums such as Lexan without any loss of structural
strength.
The compact design of the external aluminium sections allows for the screen to be
curved, not only through its height but also across its length. This technology has
allowed interior designers the ability to create more organic flowing forms.

FLOOR AND DESK BASED SCREENS
Advantages of Able’s Floor and Desk
Based Screens
A variety of screen shapes: The screen configurations consist of
solid or curved panels. Screens curve from top to bottom with either
a wave or a flow curve.
Easy to install and move: The design of the Floor and Desk Based
Screen allows for ease of assembly, by use of either free-standing
feet or attaching the panel to a desk with sturdy brackets. Minimal
components are required for ease of dismantling and re-installation
in the event of changes in office layout.
Manufactured in a variety of materials: All Desk and Floor Based
Screens come in solid fabric, glass or Lexan panels, or a combination
of any of these materials.
Multiple junction options: An option of 90o, 180o and T-junction
allows for your typical 2 way and 4 way clusters. We can achieve 45o
and 120o angles for non-standard or 3 way clusters.
Screen heights can be easily extended: Using our unique stacking
extrusion screen heights can be easily adjusted by installing an adon panel made with either the same or different materials i.e. fabric
or glass.
Integrated full height power panels: the screens can integrate
directly with full height power panels that allow cabling to be routed
directly from the ceiling to a work station should the panel be fixed
to a work station.
Multiple power set options: The Desk and Floor Based Screens can
be manufactured using Corporate Connections, Electro Plan and D4,
either directly or as an externally mounted power set as required.
Integrated power ducting: Internal ducting in the screen allows for
cabling for either power, data or both. Ubiq is an integrated system
that can be used in our ducting (but not as a power set). This allows
for termination at the work station giving a wireless appearance and
easy maintenance for electricians and data contractors.
Custom Branding: Custom images and corporate identities can be
printed on vinyl and applied to all 23mm Fast Ship Screens containing
a glass or Lexan components. The lead times of branded screens
may add two days to the order processing and shipping durations
depending on the availability of the artwork.

Acousti-Blok Sound Isolation Material
ACOUSTBLOCK
Acousti-Blok offers high performance sound reduction solutions for multiple
projects. Ideal for hotels, hospitals, construction sites, industrial areas and other
projects where sound control are important.
Acousti-Blok is a heavy yet flexible viscoelastic polymer material that provides
sound reduction through a unique adiabatic process. Rather than attempting
to block or absorb sound, Acousti-Blok transforms sound energy into inaudible
friction energy as the material flexes from sound waves.
A 3mm thick layer in a single stud wall assembly (STC 53) can provide more sound
reduction than 305mm of poured concrete (STC51). Acousti-Blok is UL classified
for wall, floor and ceiling fire-rated assemblies. And it is fixed to wood framing or
metal framing prior to dry wall, ceiling or floor installation.

With an NRC rating of 1.0 these rigid framed sound panels not only absorb extreme
levels of sound, but also block sound and have an STC rating of 29 with only a
61mm panel thickness.
