Formula 1 Day: Hands on Physics
in Elementary School
During the last two weeks, the Elementary School has been learning about
physics and building race cars from household materials. The final race was
very exciting and students went home proud of their achievements. Learn
more about this great project here.
Washington Trip
Two weeks ago classes 11/12 went on a class trip to Washington D.C.
There they went on a sightseeing tour, on which they saw the typical sights
like the Lincoln Memorial, the White House and the Smithsonian
museums. They also arranged meetings with the German ARD studio, the
German Embassy and the representatives of Joe Kennedy. To sum it up
they visited everything from cultural to political aspects and had a great
time.

Bringing home the big win for the
first time!
On Saturday, March 19 the GISB volleyball team won first place among all
of the North American German Schools for the first time. After nearly 7
hours of game-play and some very close calls, GISB's volleyball team
brought home the trophy. Thank you to coach Jägersküpper who lead our
team with many pep-talks, tactics and motivation in every training. If you're
interested in joining the volleyball team, stop by Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00
p.m. Students (Grades 9 - 12), staff and parents can join!
Play "Hit me with your best shot" in the background!
