Directions and Map
From I-35W:
From the south: Approaching downtown
Minneapolis, proceed in the right lanes. Follow the
I-94 east split from downtown Minneapolis, but do
not exit onto I-94. Continue on 35W North to exit
#18 for University Ave/4th Street S.E. Turn right onto
University Avenue and proceed approximately four
blocks to 14th Avenue S.E. Turn right at 14th Avenue
S.E and follow the road as it curves to become East
River Parkway. Proceed on East River Parkway for
approximately half a mile. The East River Road
Garage will be on your left.
From the north: Follow 35W south and take exit
#18 for University Avenue/4th Street S.E. Turn left at
the second set of lights on University Avenue S.E.,
heading east. Proceed approximately four blocks to
14th Avenue S.E. Turn right at 14th Avenue S.E. and
follow the road as is curves to become East River
Parkway. Proceed on East River Parkway for
approximately half a mile. The East River Road
Garage will be on your left.
From I-94:
From the east: Follow I-94 west and take the Huron
Boulevard exit (exit #235B). Turn left on Fulton Street
S.E. Follow Fulton Street for approximately five blocks.
Fulton Street will veer and merge with East River
Parkway. Follow East River Parkway for three blocks.
The entrance to the East River Road Garage will be
on your right.
From the west: Follow I-94 east and take the Huron
Boulevard exit (exit #235B). Turn left on Fulton Street
S.E. Follow Fulton Street for approximately five blocks.
Fulton Street will veer and merge with East River
Parkway. Follow East River Parkway for three blocks.
The entrance to the East River Road Garage will be
on your right.
Access via the METRO Green Line:
The METRO Green Line light rail links the downtowns
of Minneapolis and St. Paul and travels through the
heart of the University of Minnesota campus on
Washington Avenue.
To access the event while riding the Green Line in either
direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station.
When you exit the train, you will be directly in front of
Coffman Memorial Union. The walking directions
below will guide you to Northrop Auditorium.

Walking directions from the East River
Road Garage to Northrop Auditorium:
Take the parking ramp elevator to the plaza level. You
will exit through a set of doors onto the Coffman
Memorial Union Plaza. Cross the plaza and Delaware
Street, proceeding up the stairs to enter Coffman Union.
Take the escalators or elevator to Level 1, and exit the
front doors of Coffman Memorial Union. You will see
the Northrop Mall area ahead. Cross one of the silver
walking bridges and walk across the mall toward the
large pillared building at the front of the mall.
