Spring Cleaning? Create
a ‘Living List’
•
Allstate helps New Yorkers
create a living inventory list
in case a loss does happen
best loss is one that never
happens, but if you do experience
a loss, Allstate wants you to be prepared
to help make the claims process easier.
One way to do that is with a detailed
home inventory list. And, that can be
easier to do than you may think by using
the Allstate Digital Locker tool for your
smartphone. Anyone can download the
tool for free – even if you aren’t an Allstate
customer.
he
What is Digital Locker?
Digital locker is a free tool from Allstate that allows you to create a
visual inventory of your personal property. With it, you can use your
camera or phone to take pictures of your items, organize them by
room or category, assign a value to them and store them safely in the
cloud.
Online, secure inventory of your personal
property that can help you itemize your
possessions for insurance purposes
•
Putting the value on your possessions may help
you determine what your insurance limits should
be
•
Home inventories help you to keep track of your
possessions and help replace items due to a
loss (and may even help streamline the claims
process)
•
Easily accessible information from any internetconnected device
•
You can share the information with others, so that
they are aware of your personal property and its
value
•
You can print or email a copy of your inventory as
needed
•
In the event of a claim, it will help you prevent the
hassles of trying to recreate a list or description
from memory
How does it work?
•
•
•
Secure Account – Digital Locker allows you to
create a username and password so that you can
access your account from any internet-connected
device
Templates – Allstate provides you with room and
category templates to help you get started with
your inventory process and create a property
catalog
Photos – You can either take photos with your
smartphone or use existing photos to add to your
inventory for a visual reference of your items
Item Value – You can also enter information on
the value of your items (you can use your best
judgment, or use the Google or barcode search)
his week, Lizards and not fish. I get a lot of people wanting
friendly easy to care for lizards. Most anything that is
raised in captivity will be friendly. So things like baby bearded
dragons, leopard geckos, baby green iguanas, and baby veiled
chameleons are 4 of the friendliest lizards. The iguanas are
vegetarian and eat things like romaine, escarole, endive, red
leaf, kale, carrots, yellow squash, things like that. Basically
dark leafy greens. Since Iguanas live a long time and get big,
they need UVB lighting. That helps them process the calcium
so they can grow normally. Just like people, If we don't get
sunshine, we cannot process the calcium into our bones.
Uvb bulbs give off the same rays as the sun thus the Iguana
gets what he needs to have healthy bones. Bearded dragons
also need Uvb as they get big and have a need for proper bone
growth too. They will not get as big as an iguana and beardeds
like crickets, mealworms and also dark leafy greens. Iguanas
should be strictly fed greens and veggies.
The leopard gecko is a night animal. They live in hot desert
areas where they hide from the heat during the day and come
out at night, so they do not need a uvb bulb. Leopard geckos
mostly eat crickets and small mealworms. Since they do not
get very big, they have low calcium requirements and uvb not
as important. Iguanas and bearded dragons should also have a
ground up calcium powder added to their food a couple times
a week. The veiled chameleons do not get real big but uvb and
calcium would be beneficial to them. They will not eat veggies.
Visit Allstate Be Aware and Prepare and the Insurance Institute for
Business & Home Safety for more, helpful information.
Remember Reptiles are cold blooded. You need to regulate
their heat. If they are too cold, they will not eat.So the proper
heat bulbs are essential. White bulbs are good for day heat and
red or black bulbs for night heat. These lizards are easy to care
for and hardy if set up properly. Just keep in mind that the
Iguanas will get huge. And you need to handle these lizards
often in order to keep them friendly.

Mary Kay Ash emphasized the importance of giving back to the
communities where we live and work. Her legacy of love and strong
sense of social responsibility led to the inception of the Mary Kay

women’s cancers. Every October, The Mary Kay Foundation observes
National Domestic Violence Awareness Month by awarding grants
to women’s domestic violence shelters across the United States.
In 2013, the Foundation awarded $20,000 grants to more than 150
