Paseo Caribe Paseo Caribe in San Juan, Puerto Rico recently became the home of five ThermoKool walk-ins consisting of four coolers and a cooler/freezer combination. The 11’6” x 8’6” x 8’6” high Thermo-Kool walk-in cooler pictured preassembled at the Thermo-Kool factory is awaiting a thorough quality control inspection which ensures “hidden costs” are avoided during the time of installation. To maximize storage each of the walk-ins were manufactured in the actual sizes needed to fit the exact job site space. The actual sizes were accomplished by utilizing ThermoKool’s high-density DURATHANE perimeter to manufacture in 1” panel increments with every panel locked-in-place so no cutting or pasting was necessary at the job site. The exposed and interior finishes of the walk-in coolers are White Stucco Aluminum and the unexposed exterior is Stucco Galvanized. The White Stucco Aluminum on the interior along with the LED lighting assured maximum illumination. The finish on the interior and exterior of the walk-in cooler/ freezer combination is stainless steel. Each of the Thermo-Kool walk-ins include a 36” x 78” stainless steel interior and exterior door and frame with a 14” x 14” peep window, three adjustable hinges per door, vinyl swing doors, 1/8” aluminum treadplate kickplates and jamb guards 42” high on the interior and HOLIDAY NOTICE Thermo-Kool’s offices and factory will be closed Monday, September 5, for the Labor Day Holiday. exterior, temperature alarms/ door monitors with panic switches, motion detectors, battery backups and dry contacts. The interior floors are 1/8” smooth aluminum each with Thermo-Kool’s foamed-in-place interior ramp which is an integral part of the floor design. The Thermo-Kool walk-in cooler pictured also included a stationary glass window. It is located at the crossroads of vibrant Condado and the historic Old San Juan District and brings together everything that is beautiful about life in contemporary San Juan. GMV Sales and Paglio & Associates Join the Thermo-Kool Team Thermo-Kool recently hired GMV Sales, Westborough, Massachusetts and Paglio & Associates, Inc., Chagrin Falls, Ohio to represent Thermo-Kool walk-in refrigeration and blast chillers/ shock freezers. GMV Sales will represent Thermo-Kool in the territory comprised of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Paglio & Associates, Inc. will represent Thermo-Kool in the territory comprised of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. Both of these reputable groups bring a wealth of industry knowledge, relationships and sales expertise that will continue to strengthen Thermo-Kool’s presence in their prospective territories. We are confident we will see many opportunities for growth in their territories.” Thermo-Kool Team Completes Leadership Training Course Thermo-Kool supervisors and managers recently completed “The Management and Supervision of Modern Manufacturing” training course written and taught by Dr. Ennis E. “Chip” Bailey with the Franklin Institute at Mississippi State University. The sixteen week course is designed to provide a solid understanding of modern manufacturing techniques as well as teach communication, leadership, and management skills. When announcing the course to the team, Thermo-Kool President and CEO, Rand McLaughlin commented, “We are excited to make this investment in what is one of the most important asset to this company – its employees. TURTLE TRACKS Thermo-Kool offers reach-in blast chillers/ shock freezers that can process up to 125 pounds per cycle using only a single phase, single point electrical connection. The units use selfcontained refrigeration and do not require a remote compressor to process the product. The TK10-2 and TK20-2 have an optional thaw cycle which eliminates the need for a separate thaw system thus saving valuable floor space and ensuring the product is safely ready when needed. Demetress was nominated by Production Supervisor Kawan James who commented, “Demetress does an outstanding job in the door department. He is a very versatile employee and can be counted on to do what is asked of him to meet production.” Plant Manager Duane Eldridge also commented, “Demetress always has a positive attitude.” Nelson has been with Thermo-Kool since November, 2008. Don Wade Sales Specialist, Sales Department Don Wade was selected Employee of the Month for June, 2016. Wade was nominated by Thermo-Kool Sales Supervisor, Melissa Harrison. Harrison commented, “Don always assists the sales team as well as other departments with technical questions and providing details and/or drawings needed. Don is also instrumental in training new employees while continuing to handle his own work load. Don is always willing to perform whatever task is requested of him.” Thermo-Kool Vice President and Sales/Marketing Manager, Teri Brewer added, “Don is one of the most dependable and loyal employees at ThermoKool. He sets an example to his co-workers of doing things the right way.” Wade has been with Thermo-Kool since February, 1987.
