Introduction to Vedic Astrology

The philosophical underpinnings of Jyotisha,
Yoga, Vastu and Ayurveda will be introduced
for ease of understanding about how the
various Shastras fit together.
We will study the significations of the planets, the bhavas, and the constellations. We will touch keystones
of static interpretation, timing (Dashas), unique planetary Yogas, and how Jyotisha is used for various purposes
from compatibility of prospective spouses to the choice of good days for commencing projects, to essentials
for working effectively with the karmas that are ripening.
Please come with a notebook and pen.

Introduction to Vedic Palmistry

Like Yoga, Palmistry is based on the principle of
“As above, so below” and so the entire map of ones
universe can be seen in the hands. Hasta Samudrika
basics can be learned easily and are an important tool
in Ayurveda, Yoga and Jyotisha.

MARGARET’S BIO
Margaret has been a student of classical Indian subjects for over 30 years, most especially in Jyotisha, Hasta Samudrika and Vaastu
under the guidance of the remarkable Hart de Fouw, and in Ayurveda by Dr. Robert Svoboda, both of whose vast knowledge,
compassion and patience Marga has been blessed to receive. She is presently studying Samskrta and Vedanta at Arshavidya
Gurukulam under the direction of Pujya Swami Dayananda. Margaret practices and teaches Jyotisha, Palmistry, and Vaastu, from
her home in Vancouver, Canada and now in India. Margaret has been a senior executive in Colleges in Canada, a consultant to
governments and community organizations in sustainable community development, change management and Enterprising
Non-Profits, a concept which she launched in Canada almost 20 years ago. She holds a Masters degree in Public Policy and a
graduate diploma in Public Administration.
