Location of Loading Dock:
375 south 700 east Saint George, Utah

Located on west side of building beside
Loading dock. Take elevator to 2nd floor
Stage Level.
1 Seating
Seating Capacity: 1,190 fixed seats in, which includes 8 spaces for the physically
impaired.
Stage Facilities
Stage House:
100 feet wide by 45 feet deep.
Stage Floor:
100 feet wide by 45 feet deep. Hardwood sprung maple. Please
advise if you require lag bolting into floor. Bolting into floor requires
prior approval of the Technical Director. There are no traps.
Proscenium:
55 feet wide by 28 feet high.
Loading Dock:
The dock is located on the west side of the facility. Trucks unload
directly into a 10,000 lbs capacity freight elevator that is 8 feet high
by 7 feet 6 inches wide by 22 feet long. The Stage is 1 story below
street level.
The Dock is 44 inches high by 18 feet wide. 1-800 pound capacity
ramp is available.
The stage entrance doors are 8 feet high by 7 feet 8 inches wide.
Orchestra Pit:
50 feet wide by 15 feet deep by 8 feet high. There are 60 chairs and
60 stands available with stand lamps. This is not a hydraulic pit.
When the pit is covered it provides an Apron for the Stage that is 12
feet deep at the centerline arching to 3 feet deep at the
Proscenium walls.
Grid:
76 feet with 70 feet of pipe travel out. All sheaves are mounted to
the grid floor. There is 8 feet from grid floor to roof.
Fly System:
38 single purchase line-sets with 6-foot arbors, 1000# capacity. The
locking rail is located Stage Left at floor level. 5 linesets are house
electrics. The house has an Orchestra Shell, which normally hangs in
the fly loft. The shell is rigged on 11 sets, 5 of which are easily
cleared, but the Technical Director needs 1-week prior notice to
schedule and complete the move.
2 The Act Curtain is rigged against the Stage Left Proscenium wall on
a separate lattice track.
Pyrotechnics:
All pyrotechnics and real flame must have approval of Cox Center
Production Manager and University Marshall and be accompanied
by a locally licensed Pyro-Technician.

ETC Ion 2048 with 1 fader wing.
240 Strand 20 amp dimmers in vault Stage Right, 12 feet above
stage level.

Green Room:
Located Stage Right. This room is 18 feet wide by 19 feet long and 9 feet
high. Equipped with small refrigerator, sink and microwave oven and
Baldwin grand piano.
Merchandising:
The lobby of the Cox Auditorium is small and does not allow more than 2-6
foot tables set up for merchandising. Fortunately we have some of the
best weather down here and the Plaza Tent is available for merchandising
and before and after events. Tables may also be set up in the Plaza area
weather permitting.
Concessions:
All catering are handled through Martin Peterson at Campus Dining.
