About Our Firm
Coherent Technology Consulting, Ltd. is privately owned and managed by its partners who have a strong belief that principal involvement in each
project is crucial to successful implementation, and sustainable design is of utmost importance. The partners have a combined experience of
over 38 years including a blend of management, consultation, and operations experience and are the vital link between clients and the firm. Coherent Design professionals help to integrate these principles into all projects.
Our Principals
Kevin Potts has more than 16 years of experience in the field of audio, video, acoustics, and theatrical lighting. Kevin founded Coherent
Technology to address the need for a firm that could provide a single-source solution to the highly detailed design and consulting needs of
today's complex venues. Kevin's experience and education give him a unique ability to find and deploy creative approaches that target the user experience. Kevin's
projects include the major hotel casinos: Wynn; Encore at Wynn; Caesars Palace; Flamingo Las Vegas; The Mirage; and Meadows in
Pittsburgh, PA. Other project experience includes major work for Northrop Grumman, General Growth Properties, Delloite, AT&T, The
University of Wisconsin, and The University of Nevada Las Vegas. Projects types run from hospitality, corporate, and education, to public
venues.
Before founding Coherent Technology Consulting Kevin spent 12 years with Ford Audio Video Systems and R2W in the design-build
contracting world of technology, audio, video, and lighting.
Oklahoma Baptist University – Telecommunications 1991
David Starck is not only the Principal and Director of Technology, but is a founding partner as well. He felt the need to start a firm that could
provide the highest level of engineering detail and project management solutions for the complex projects of today. David's passion for theater
and live performance has allowed him to be at the forefront of the industry for many years. David's projects include performance venues such as The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, The Smith Performing Arts Center, and
Cottonwood. David has also designed the technology systems for many public venues including Fashion Show in Las Vegas, Qualcomm
Museum, and Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. Finally, projects like The Boyd School of Law at University of Nevada Las Vegas; Northrop
Grumman Command and Control Center; and The Meadows Casino in Pittsburgh, PA round out his vast experience.
Carnegie Mellon University – Theater Lighting and Sound Design - 1994
Paul Cullum, RCDD with over 20 years of experience as a technology systems engineer Paul is passionate about design and project
management. Paul completed an electrical and electronic engineering apprenticeship with the British Army and continued his diverse military
career in the British Armed Forces as a communications technician. Upon leaving the military Paul continued to design various transmission
networks including GSM, SDH, VHF, HF, ATM, WAN. In 2006 Paul and his wife emigrated to Hong Kong. Paul has been involved in the
design of some of the regions most highly integrated resort facilities including Wynn Macau, major projects for Crown MELCO, and MGM
International. Paul’s work includes structured cabling, CCTV, Active IT, audio, video, and control systems. Paul is managing partner and runs
the day to day operations of our Asian organization.

What Sets Us Apart
We Assume Full Responsibility
for the consulting and system design work we deliver. Our firm was founded on the
principle that no detail is too small to be left up to the contractor to interpret. We believe the responsibility lies within our firm to educate
ourselves with suitable methods of documenting our systems fully so that they are easily understood by all parties involved.
Consistent Guidance and Oversight.
We are 100% invested in the entire build phase and believe in not waiting for the
questions to reach us. We believe in maintaining a very strong on-site presence during the construction of your project so that questions
can be answered and any issues can be resolved immediately. Making ourselves readily available to the construction team results in a
fluid process to completion.
Verification of the Installation throughout the construction process at highly regular intervals allows us to anticipate problems
before they arise. We do not believe in just showing up at the end of the process and then reporting the issues. If the issues are caught
and corrected early, as they should be, the result is a project that is on schedule and on budget. This also allows us to adjust the design
to fit the as-built conditions.
Customer Training
is one of the most essential steps in the successful completion of a large scale construction project. Our
specifications include language with specifics on training. We do not stop there. Our firm is unique in that we develop and approve each
training session with the contractor and then stand side by side with them at each training session. A full understanding of each system
by the end-user is essential to maintaining the systems without down time over their expected life span.
Technology Should Be Part of a Building
,not an afterthought. The core of our philosophy is “aesthetically consistent
technology systems”. This means that guests should never notice that technology exists in a building. The technology should be a part
of the architecture just as a window or door. We believe in working closely with your Interior Design team and Architect to select
technology that enhances, rather than detracts from the environment. Simply specifying that a television should go on a wall is not our
job. Our job is to help make that television and wall a coherent piece of architecture.
Technology is in a Constant State of Flux
and the infrastructure upon which that technology sits must be engineered
to meet any foreseeable future need of the inevitable progression of that technology. We engineer our designs with a backbone that is
able to support future systems. We constantly educate ourselves with the latest information on data bandwidth requirements and the
methods necessary to support new devices well into the future.

Design Methodology
Our Design Methodology Is The Most Detailed In The Industry.
Our final drawings include every detail
down to the wire number and connectors and are ready to be stamped as construction drawings. Our specifications include detailed
equipment lists and this reflects in our ability to provide accurate bid budgeting. Typically we see very few RFI’s during the bid process to
the potential contractors and bids are returned with less than a 5% spread in the overall price.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
WYNN LAS VEGAS & ENCORE RESORT
Wynn Resorts, one of Las Vegas’ most successful and respected gaming companies,
commissioned the design and build of Tryst Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas. Wynn
Resorts turned to Kevin Potts and David Starck, then of Ford Audio Video, to develop,
design, and install the sound systems for this new nightclub. The club, with it’s indoor
and outdoor environments, was Wynn’s first venture into the already highly competitive
world of Las Vegas nightclubs. The design and implementation speak for themselves.
The club has been one of Las Vegas’ most successful nightlife projects. Even after five
years in operation the club was awarded “Nightclub of the Year” by Nightclub and Bar
Magazine. Tryst continues to be at the center of Las Vegas nightlife with little to no
changes in the original sound system designed by David Starck

Wynn Resorts decided just two weeks before the opening of
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas to implement a control system for
all of the restaurants and venues located on the casino floor. Four Restaurants, four bars, and the casino floor are now
controlled by multiple strategically
located Crestron control panels
that control audio, video, and
lighting functions of these venues. The project, encompassing one of
Las Vegas’ largest casino and
entertainment floors, was
conceived, designed,
programmed, and installed in less
than three weeks providing
centralized Crestron control
throughout this facility.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
WISCONSIN INSTITUTE OF DISCOVERY
Interactive Digital Video Walls
Wisconsin Institute of Discovery is an acclaimed scientific research facility located in the heart of the University of
Wisconsin’s Campus in Madison, WI. At the conception of the building, the architectural design team proposed
a number of large scale video walls that would help scientists and researchers to better present their findings to
visitors and colleagues in a more compelling way.
Working in collaboration with the project architects, environmental graphic designers, and general contracting
teams, Coherent Technology Consulting worked to engineer and manage the implementation of a
groundbreaking interactive media installation which has now set a new standard for dynamic video walls.
Onsite supervision by our highly trained engineers
ensures that display solutions are calibrated to
maintain optimal performance and image quality
page 15 of 19
Two large interactive video wall installations were deployed to engage guests and provide a virtual canvas for
researchers to present their scientific breakthroughs in the field of stem cell research. Using Christie Digital’s
newest high resolution display product known as Microtiles, we engineered a multi-sensory environment that
combines laser scanners, infrared cameras, and radio frequency identification to enable unique and specific
user experiences for each guest. The larger of the two video wall locations supports a nearly 20 million pixel
resolution in addition to gestural and multi-touch interactivity for up to 6 simultaneous users. Enhanced by RFID
readers at various locations within the wall, each user can be identified by way of their visitor passes or building
access cards and then presented with a user-specific navigation menu. This project was recently awarded the
prestigious APEX award by DSE as the Digital Signage Installation of 2012.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
THE STANDARD HOTEL
These custom designed video
towers support a 1.5 meter tall
vertical display and can be
moved anywhere within the
hotel's VIP lounge within the
popular 1920's themed, BoomBoom Room. Reconfigurable Video Installations
The Standard Hotel required a highly
portable video display solution that could
enable a wide array of formats and
configurations for various special events
and concerts at the hotel. Utilizing
Christie's Microtile display modules, we
designed a reconfigurable display system
with a number of custom designed
surrounds to fit to the many interior themes
of the hotel's clubs and lounges. FEDERAL REALTY INVESTMENT TRUST
Interactive Exhibits
This gesturally interactive video wall was created for Federal Realty
Investment Trust. The installation is intended to stop visitors in their
tracks by appearing at first glance to be a wood-paneled wall. It
then unsuspectingly transforms into a fully interactive canvas when
approached by visitors. The wall then delivers an interactive
presentation of one of the developer’s newest mixed-use retail
projects, “Assembly Row.” This installation is enabled by a
combination of Christie’s ultra-high-resolution Microtiles, and 3D
gestural cameras. It is powered by a robust RealMotion TM
interactive server. Visitors are able to navigate a map of the
development and look through a virtual window into an almost lifesized depiction of the development’s colorful, urban streetscapes.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
QUALCOMM CORPORATE MUSEUM
Coherent Design's David Starck provided engineering for the Qualcomm
Corporate Museum. The design included over 16 large format interactive video
kiosks and an integrated control system. The museum was designed to
celebrate the 25 years of technological advancements of the company. Guests
are invited to interactively explore the history as well as the future possibilities
of Qualcomm technology. The “Historical Timeline” display area contains what
the team referred to as “Wave Walls”. Each of the eight Wave Walls was
designed to house a combination of video tiles and Qualcomm historical
artifacts. The highlight of the “Future Area” contains a flush mounted, curved
video wall, thirteen feet wide by four feet high. David Starck, as Director of
Engineering for Las Vegas based systems integrator R2W, served as project
engineer for the project. David led the R2W team as they engineered,
programmed, and installed the technology systems for this award winning
project.

FRESH
Owned by the international luxury brand LVMH,
Fresh is a rising star in the high-end skincare
market. Working in collaboration with the architects
of Studio Mapos in New York, our creative
technology team designed a versatile digital signage
solution using an Apple based content management
system with ultra high-resolution video displays
called Microtiles, provided by Christie Digital. The
first prototypical installation was developed for their
New York flagship boutique in Union Square. This
signage platform was later extended to support a
roll-out of other store locations in Korea and then
Hong Kong. These installations are all centrally
controlled through a remote content delivery and
management system which allows Fresh's New
York based marketing team to upload and schedule
new content at any of its stores worldwide. page 17 of 19
