Discover RVing, Discover the World
Greetings from the Governor
It gives me great pleasure to offer my support to the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and
Camping Association and its mission.
The possibilities for adventure and limitless exploration abound throughout the entire landscape
of our commonwealth. One of the best ways to view and experience the unique sites, history and
culture of Pennsylvania is from the comfort and convenience of recreational vehicles (RVs). As
you travel our scenic highways and byways, you will discover the qualities that make our state
such an enriching place to live and visit – the goodness of our people, the richness of our historical
significance and our geographic diversity. Given the commonwealth’s natural beauty and cultural
vibrancy, I am confident that you will create many lasting memories while traveling throughout
the commonwealth in your RV, and spending the night at one of our many campgrounds.
As Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I urge everyone who owns a recreational

vehicle to come explore and enjoy our “State of Independence.”

Go camping. Go climbing. Go canoeing.
Go RVing. It’s a big country out there. And
in an RV, you can see and do it all.
You can visit a national park – or all of the national parks. See the
Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Go skiing in the winter and fishing in
the summer. Visit 49 state capitals or 100 Civil War battle sites.
An RV has room for all your treasures and memorabilia picked up
along the way. It can also handle your favorite gear for any sport –
biking, golfing, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing and more.
Help foster a love for the outdoors in your children. Reunite with
your family and put your to-do lists away. Turn off the cell phone
and finally play!
RVing allows you to experience America like never before. In an
RV, the great outdoors has never been closer. Whether your passion
is hiking, canoeing, attending festivals or camping with the kids,
RVing is a wonderfully fun and surprisingly affordable way to get
away from it all without leaving it all behind – that is unless you
want to.
So, what are you waiting for? Dive right in! The
road’s wide open and calling your name.

Family Vacations
Something happens when families spend time
together. Bonds are built between the
generations. Secrets are shared. Discoveries are made. Sometimes the road to a

Public lands make up over one-third of this great country, and they
belong to each of us. From sidewalks outside our doors to beaches to
distant mountain streams, we share it all. And together, we can protect
it. Whether you’d like to organize a cleanup, be a campground host,
or do something else, there’s a way you can help. To find out more
about the volunteer opportunities available, visit www.TakePride.gov.
