Next P&C meeting Wednesday 5th August 2015 at 2pm Holidays It has been a rewarding and busy term and I’d like to take the chance to thank the whole school community for their support as we reach the end of week 10. Just a reminder to stay safe and have a relaxing break. We will see everyone back at school on Tuesday 14 July 2015. Have a great couple of weeks, Nikki Perrin Principal How can I make fruit and vegetables more appealing to my child? Research has found that children prefer small, cold, crisp, juicy and sweet fruits and colourful, crisp, fresh vegetables. Try the following tips to encourage children to enjoy fruit and vegetables: Buy a variety of seasonal fresh fruit so your child doesn't become bored Involve your child in choosing what fruit and vegetables to buy Give them a small, hand-sized piece Cut large fruit and vegetables into small manageable pieces Make ‘vegie people’ with your child Freeze small pieces of fruit as an icy snack (try pineapple wedges, orange quarters or grapes). 25 Nights Reading K/1P 3/4S 6S Sadie Goldberg Jack Volpe Mattias Kena 2N 5N Chris Hana Mele Pasi Isabella Formosa 6N Zahraa Aljanabi 50 Nights Reading K/1P 2N 3/4S Sadie Goldberg Emilio Navarrete Belos Kafo 2SE Braydan Dodd Tristian Dang Isabella Sem Izayah Manu 75 Nights Reading K/1P K/1P 2N Sadie Goldberg Addison Rith Marvin Wu 3/4S Calvin Nelson Morales Sharokina David 100 Nights Reading K/1P 1M 3/4S Jennifer Asmaro Michael Kozelko Afaaf Asmaro 2SE Aabid Degia 125 Nights Reading 1M 3/4S 3/4S Jonella Oraha Savanna Deans Daniel Usumaki Rita Awdisho Sallie Ton Sophie Condell S1 Excursion Athletics Carnival Work of the Week 6S have been producing these professional documents from their research using the Pages app. Cindy’s work is pictured here. 4M have been working on Genius Hour each Thursday and have showed how creative and productive they can be.
