Location, Location, Location
Convenient
Woodbury is a flourishing economic hub of the Twin Cities’ east metro area and western
Wisconsin. With I-94 providing a direct route to both St. Paul and Minneapolis, Woodbury
is conveniently located and has premium sites available for business growth and expansion.
Easy access
Our location at the crossroads of three interstate highways means convenient logistics,
transportation and shipping. In addition, Woodbury is only 20 minutes away from the
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, a Delta hub.
Room to grow
Woodbury continues to be one of the fastest growing communities in the Twin Cities. Over
the past three decades the population has tripled, and is expected to reach 80,500 by 2030.
Far from Ordinary
Minnesota’s 9th largest city
Much of Woodbury’s extraordinary success as a community comes from more than three
decades of long-range, planned growth. The city’s 68,000 residents continue to rank the
quality of life and sense of community in Woodbury as among the highest in the metro area.
Highly educated workforce
More than half of Woodbury’s residents age 25 and older hold a bachelor’s degree. Woodbury
also boasts a 3.1 percent unemployment rate, the lowest in the metro. Combined, these
demographics allow your business to draw from a broad and deep workforce and customer
base.
A health care destination
Building from the momentum of Woodbury’s Medical Campus District, the City is proud to
be home to more than 190 health care-related businesses, including the nationally recognized
Woodwinds Health Campus, a HealthEast hospital.
Family friendly
In addition to award-winning public and private schools, Woodbury is home to 3,100 acres of
parkland and 130 miles of paved biking and walking trails. The indoor Central Park and
numerous outdoor recreation areas, including Eagle Valley and Prestwick golf courses and
the newly remodeled and expanded Bielenberg Sports Center, enhance the quality of life in
Woodbury.

Commercial Vitality
Woodbury’s strategic location along I-494, I-694 and I-94, and its commitment to quality
development and excellence in performing city services has positioned it for sustained
success and contributed to a robust and thriving business climate. Only partially through
2015, the City has already seen the most new commercial development since 2006, as a wide
variety of medical, office and retail projects have commenced construction. Reinvestment
activity remains strong as well, with 81 permits issued for commercial additions and
alterations. The projects boast a cumulative value of $56.7 million year-to-date. The City
appreciates and acknowledges these businesses and their continued investment in our
community through our annual Business Celebration, the Mayor’s State of the City address,
and through our business outreach efforts.

Education
Education is one of the fastest growing
sectors in Woodbury. The City understands
that great education produces a highly skilled
workforce and is the foundation of quality
economic development.
Public Schools
South Washington County School District 833 is
Woodbury’s largest school district with seven
elementary schools, two middle schools and two
high schools. Woodbury is also home to the Math
and Science Academy, a nationally recognized charter school. The Stillwater Area Public
Schools has announced that it intends to build and open an elementary school in northeast
Woodbury in 2017.
Private Schools
In addition to the fine public and charter school options available, Woodbury offers several
private or parochial school choices, including New Life Academy and St. Ambrose School.

Parks and Recreation
Woodbury's parks, trails and open space system is one of the most extensive in the Twin
Cities metro area and is an important element of the quality of life for our residents. It offers
both passive and active recreational opportunities, while preserving the scenic natural
resources that many have come to associate with Woodbury. The lakes, woodlands, open
fields, wetlands, and waterways are features that draw people to live and recreate in the City.
The park system consists of approximately 3,200 acres of City-owned parks and open space,
130 miles of trails, 63 athletic fields, 40 neighborhood parks, five major open space sites and
five large community parks. The park system also includes a playground and amphitheater at
the indoor Central Park, the newly remodeled and expanded Bielenberg Sports Center, and a
municipal golf course - Eagle Valley.
Eagle Valley Golf Course
Among the jewels of the Woodbury park system,
is Eagle Valley Golf Course, an 18-hole
municipal golf course situated on 225 acres,
with a combination of challenges unique to each
hole. Located south of Valley Creek Road and
east of Woodbury Drive, the course opened in
July 1998, and features a newly remodeled
clubhouse with a pro shop and banquet facility.
Eagle Valley offers a quality, first-class golf
experience for players of all abilities.
Recent course improvements include path
extensions on the back nine, 55 new golf carts,
and a major water feature on the 10th hole.
