Report of the South-Central Utah CWMA Utah Annual Meeting – December 14, 2006 – Price Dick Allred Roger Brian Marv Turner Jenneka Knight Chair, CWMA Chair, Fremont Unit Chair, Sevier Unit GIS Specialist, Maps The South-Central Utah CWMA includes all of Piute, Sevier, and Wayne Counties and the northeastern half of Garfield County. The CWMA has two units: Fremont and Sevier. 2006 Accomplishments Participating Agreement with 21 partners Strategic Plan CWMA Strategy Priorities Education and Awareness Inventory and Mapping Early Detection and Rapid Response Annual Plan 2006 Grants and Projects Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree Weed Wash $9,000 (Natural Resources Conservation Service) for education, brochures and “free” daily washes About 600 riders registered for Jamboree Six local car washes participated ($1.50/wash) Distributed 3,000 wash tickets Riders redeemed nearly 1,400 “free” washes Photo Credits: Linda Lind Photo Credits: Bob Campbell 2006 Grants and Projects (cont.) Sevier River weed mapping and treatment $15,000 (Natural Resources Conservation Service) Wayne County spray equipment $ 5,000 (Utah Weed Supervisor Association) Piute County spent about $25,000 for equipment sprayers, ATV’s, and GPS units Piute County – beetle control on musk thistle 2006 Grants and Projects (cont.)
