Our Wedding Facilities
The Ambassador suite can comfortably seat up to 80
guests for a sumptuous formal seated meal or a 110
for a finger buffet banquet.
The St Julian Suite offers an intimate private dinning
room for up to 36 guests.

Terms and conditions
The following outlines the terms and conditions that will apply to all residential and non residential wedding ceremonies and receptions at the Nelson Hotel.
Minimum numbers
For weddings for less than 60 guests booked in the Ambassadors Suite is subject to an additional room charge of £175.00. We ask you to keep us informed of any
significant changes to numbers from those originally booked. You are required to confirm final numbers two weeks prior to your booking.
Deposits and Payments
A provisional booking is held for 14 days, after which it will be automatically released. A booking becomes confirmed once a signed contract is returned, and a nonrefundable deposit of £500 has been paid, which is credited from the balance of your final account. 75% of the total is payable 6 months prior, and 90% payable 7 days
prior to your booking, and the final balance due on the day of arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation must be confirmed in writing. The hotel reserves the right to raise the following charges: Up to 6 months prior to the date all paid deposits will be
retained and 75% of the value is chargeable. Cancellation made 7 days prior to the date all deposits will be retained and 90% of the value is chargeable. Any changes
to numbers 7 days prior to the date will be charged at full price. Postponement of the wedding will be treated as a cancellation and the same terms and conditions will
apply.
Insurance
The hotel strongly recommends that you consider taking out insurance to cover you in the event of a need to cancel or postpone your wedding for any reason. The hotel
will pursue costs against you should you cancel or postpone your wedding as set out in our cancellation policy.
Third Party Catering
The hotel will permit the external caterers to provide the wedding cake and a chocolate fountain for the evening reception. The hotel will not permit any other third party
caterers or catering to use the premises or to provide food or drink to the wedding party.
Corkage
Any wine, sparkling wine or champagne or miniature bottles are not permitted on the wedding day.
Etiquette
The Hotel reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of the Client, their guests, or employees of the Client. It reserves the right to exclude any
person from the event or the premises if it considers them to be objectionable and if necessary stop the event without liability to any refund or compensation. The client
will be liable for the cost of any repairs carried out as a result of any damage caused to any part of the hotel or equipment, by any act of default or neglect by the Client,
guest or employee of the client.

Terms and conditions
The following outlines the terms and conditions that will apply to all residential and non residential wedding ceremonies and receptions at the Nelson Hotel

General
1. Prior consent of the Hotel must be obtained for any entertainment or services contracted for the event. No amplified bands are permitted. It is the Client’s
responsibility to ensure they meet with all the statutory codes and regulations.
2. The hotel provides white linen napkins and table cloths all other decorations are provided by the Clients of which prior consent of the Hotel must be obtained for
the use of any helium balloons, and signs, displays or posters and table decorations.
3. The hotel cannot accept any responsibility for the loss of personal belongings or wedding gifts left in public areas. Coat-racks are provided for your convenience
with items being left, at the owner’s risk, with no liability to the Hotel.
4. The Client must fully comply with Health and Safety Regulations, including Fire Safety. In the event of a fire, the guests will use the entrances and exits to which
they are directed.
5. The Hotel operates a No Smoking policy throughout the building.
6. In accordance with Hotel’s Licence the hotel bar closes at 1 am. Non residents are expected to leave the premises after this time. Drinks purchased after this
period for hotel residents will be charged to the guest room, and their key card must be shown.
7. The hotel resident DJ is licensed until 1 am. If you were to book and then cancel the resident DJ a cancellation fee of £20 will be charged.
8. Any materials, mechanical or electrical equipment bought in by the Client must be bought to the attention of the hotel in writing. The hotel’s consent is required
and current relevant regulations apply. The hotel accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury as a result of the use of this equipment.
9. Prices are subject to change in the event of VAT changes.
10. No table or paper confetti is allowed.
11. A double room is provided for the Bride and Groom on the night of the wedding. All other guests’ accommodation will be subject to our normal booking policy.
