New Hope Drive 512/401-5500 This fabulous dog park is located within the Veterans Memorial Park. It is a 5-acre dog park with pond, showers, dog water fountains, and a separate park for small dogs under 30 pounds. Brushy Creek Trail 3400 Brushy Creek Rd The trail is a 6.75 mile trail with extensive landscaping and scenic views to enjoy. It begins along Hairy Man Road and continues South West and ends at Twin Lakes Park at the YMCA. Brushy Creek Sports Park - Skate Park 2310 Brushy Creek Rd. The custom designed concrete in-ground skatepark is approximately 15,000 sq ft. and includes a mini bowl, large bowl, modern street course with coloring, textures, shade and landscaping. Champion Park 2525 W. New Hope Drive 512/246-2683 The park offers a covered children's play area with castings of dinosaur bones to discover, a large blue whale that spurts water to cool kids off, and specially designed boulders for climbing. Families can benefit from the large picnic pavilion with built-in grills, fishing areas. Elizabeth Milburn Park 1901 Sun Chase Boulevard Quality of Life The national online real estate brokerage firm Movato has named Cedar Park the Fifth Most Desirable Suburb in the Country in terms of amenities, cost of living, education, unemployment, household income, and safety. Cedar Park is one of Family Circle Magazine Ten Best Towns for Families and Forbes Magazine has identified Cedar Park as one of America’s Fastest-Growing Suburbs. Security corporation SafeWise recently ranked Cedar Park near the top of its 50 Safest Cities in Texas list, and for several years Cedar Park has had one of the lowest crime rates for cities of its size in Texas according to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s annual Crime in Texas Report. Heritage Oak Park 875 Quest Parkway 512/401-5600 This 400-year-old majestic live oak tree is decorated with over 30,000 lights each year in December to kick off the holiday season. It stands a lofty fifty-seven feet tall with a spread of eighty feet. Twin Lakes Park 2300 S Bell Blvd. 512/250-9622 Twin Lakes Park offers pavilions, a swimming pool/water playscape, multi-purpose sports fields, an archery range, a beach/swimming area, sand volleyball courts, a ropes course, outdoor education area, restrooms and parking. Two lanes to accommodate lap swimmers, and a large dive platform and drop slide add to the fun. Many pavilions are available for rent throughout the facility for groups large and small. Enjoy the 66 mile round trip on our popular Hill Country Flyer, which includes a 2 and a half hour layover in Burnet for lunch and entertainment. Or hop on board the Bertram Flyer or the new Capital City Express for shorter 3 hour adventure. Remember to check for Special Rides for theme adventures from the Annual Day Out With Thomas (returning to Burnet in September 2014) to the always popular Murder Mystery and Wine Tasting rides. And for our youngest fans, the North Pole Flyer pulls into town in late November. The Texas Museum of Science and Technology Cedar Park is home to the first and only science & technology museum in Central Texas. The Austin Planetarium opened as the Texas Museum of Science & Technology (TXMOST) in an interim facility located in the former SoccerPlex building just off Whitestone Boulevard (FM 1431) and Parmer Lane, on 1220 Toro Grande Boulevard. TXMOST will feature traveling exhibits developed by world renowned museums and research institutions.
