Prize Structure: Based on aggregate weight of up to 3 fish, limited to 1 of each species, Flounder, Red Drum, and Speckled Trout. Less than 3 fish may be weighed for the total aggregate weight. 1st Prize $500.00, 2nd Prize $200.00 3rd Prize $100.00, based on 30 entries. Sportsman’s Choice Marine heaviest fish prize $1000.00 for the single heaviest fish, Flounder, Red Drum or Speckled Trout. Fish must be within legal SC size limits. Low Country Fishing Charters Junior Angler Prize—Rod and Reel combo awarded to the junior angler with largest flounder The tournament’s entry fee covers all anglers on your boat (within Coast Guard safety limits). The one fishing day is Saturday September 19, 2015. The tournament will reserve the right to hold Sunday September 20, 2015, as an optional foul weather day. No Boundaries. All fish must be weighed in from the boat in which they were caught. No overland transport to the weigh station will be allowed, and a crewmember must accompany fish to weigh-in. No tying or docking your boat during the tournament. You must stay aboard your boat until you reach the weigh-in station. Fish must be caught during tournament hours. No lines in the water until after 7:00 a.m. All boats must show their boat number to the check-in boat by 4:00 p.m. the check-in boat will be located at the Coquina Harbour Lighthouse. Scales will open at 1:00 p.m. at Myrtle Beach Yacht Club. No weigh-ins allowed before 1:00 p.m. All fish weighed in remain the property of the anglers. Any angler, if directed by the tournament committee, must submit to a polygraph test within 72 hours after the last fish has been weighed. This decision is at the sole discretion of the tournament committee. Should the test be failed, the tournament committee reserves the right to forfeit all winnings awarded to the winner in question. All protests made to the tournament committee shall be accompanied by a $250 cash deposit. All protests shall be made no later than one hour after the last fish has been weighed. The $250 cash deposit will be returned if the tournament committee upholds the protest. The $250 cash deposit will become the property of the Bud Grand Slam Tournament if the protest is not upheld. All decisions of the tournament committee shall be final. All prizes are awarded solely on the basis of fish weight. In the event of identical weights, the first fish weighed shall be declared the winner. All boats must meet USCG inspection and safety requirements. All fish must be caught on hook and line. By signing the entry form, the captain and crew consent that the Bud Grand Slam Tournament may use without payment or restrictions any photographs in which he or she appears for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to resale, advertising, commercial, or promotional material. Two or more boats seen congregating may be disqualified from the tournament. All fish will be received and inspected by the terms of the weigh master. No cut or mutilated fish will be accepted. The Junior Angler must be 14 years of age or younger and must accompany the fish to the scales. Anyone 14 years old or younger is automatically considered a junior angler. The Lady Angler must accompany the fish to the scales. Junior Angler and Lady Angler must be named on the entry form and may be aboard the same boat. The tournament committee has the right to refuse entry from any applicant. If an entry is refused, 100% of the applicants entry fee will be returned. All captains and crew members are responsible for reading and following all rules and regulations set forth by the Bud Grand Slam Tournament. South Carolina Rules Apply.
