PROFILE – FIELD OF EXPERTISE – STRUCTURE
TERRAPLAN TOWN PLANNERS
Terraplan is a renowned national town and regional planning practice, established in 1986, with offices
in Cape Town, Durban, Kempton Park, Nelspruit, and Delmas.
The Cape Town office has been in existence since 1988, and initially held offices in Central Cape Town.
After three years the firm relocated to its existing premises in Durbanville. Situated in one of the fastest
growing areas of metropolitan Cape Town, Terraplan is at the forefront of property development, policy
formulation, and legislative matters within the Cape Metropole.
The firm is also well located to offer an effective service throughout the Western Cape; and has
intimate knowledge of the Cape Town Metropolitan Area, the Cape Winelands, the West Coast Region,
the Garden Route, and the Breede Valley, as well as a good working relationship with the local
planners and officials in these areas.
The merger with Umhlaba Development Consultants represents a component of Terraplan’s
transformation policy – aimed at the upliftment and empowerment of our previously disadvantaged
communities.
