PVA Glue Excellent adhesive performance and a perfect finish F ormica® Extra PVA Glue is a product that has been specially developed for gluing MDF, chipboard, wooden artifacts, Formica® high resistance decorative laminates, leather, corkboard, cardboard, fiberboard, and porous materials in general. It can be used for assembling and repairing furniture when a high adhesive performance and a perfect finish are required. The physical and chemical properties of Formica® PVA meet the minimum standards demanded for the product, as laid down in the EN204 and EN-201 standards. Cleaning We recommend using water to clean any equipment, brushes, rollers, spatulas and materials used. We recommend immediately cleaning off any adhesive residues that may come into contact with the surfaces being glued. Composition Vinyl polymer, surfactants and plasticizers. Shelf Life To guarantee the shelf life mentioned on the pack, which is 12 months from the date of manufacture, it is necessary to keep the original pack sealed and stored correctly. These must be flat, dry, free from dust or oil and have a humidity of between 6% and 12%. This procedure is very often used when treating surfaces that will be covered with Formica® (Formiwall and Formipiso), wallpaper, vinyl floor coverings, wooden flooring, floating floors etc. Personal Protective Equipment • Hand protection: PVC gloves; • Eye protection: safety glasses or a face protector. First Aid Swallowing: • Do not give liquids if the patient is unconscious. • If the patient is awake, give him/her water or milk. • Do not induce vomiting. Preparing the Leveling Filler Add 150g Formica® PVA Glue and 450ml water for every 1kg of cement. Homogenize perfectly by mixing together until a consistent paste is formed. Preparing the base and applying the filler The (ceramic or masonry) base must be sandpapered and show no signs of dampness, dust or oil. The leveling filler must be applied using a metallic mortarboard (maximum leveling thickness of 3 mm). The curing time can range from 48 to 72 hours, according to the environmental conditions in the place where it is applied. Inhalation: • Take the patient to a well-ventilated place. Skin: • Strip off any contaminated clothing and remove the material from the skin. • Wash the part of the body affected in running water. • In the event of irritation, see a doctor. Eyes: • Rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes. • In the event of irritation, see a doctor. Note: Do not reuse the pack for storing food. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
