All these words have been used to define a Liquid Glass Powerboat. Over 30
years ago we built our first exceptional custom powerboat. During the 30 years
that followed, we learned a tremendous amount about boat building, power
configurations, interior features, modern technologies, driver/passenger comfort,
performance, and safety, and it is all incorporated into Liquid Glass Powerboats.
The Liquid Glass 41 Luxury Cat is our latest creation. Starting with the boat mold
and finishing with delivery to you, we have used the finest materials, technologies,
power, and styling to build spectacular powerboats. We invite you to learn more
about our products, our Company, our exceptional focus we place on the customer,
and our boat building philosophies which separate Liquid Glass Powerboats from all
others.

The Story of Liquid Glass Powerboats
30 Years of Custom Powerboat Building Experience
In 1979, Randy Schultz built and sold his first custom powerboat. His initial powerboat
designs and quality of construction became so sought after he created a company committed
to building exceptional, custom, hand-built yet technologically advanced powerboats.
Becoming an Icon
For the next 30 years, Randy and his company, Profile Custom Powerboats, sold more than
550 boats, with models ranging from 26-40 feet (7.9-12.2 meters), throughout the world.
Staying true to custom powerboat building, not one of his boats was an identical duplicate
of another. The ‘no-copies’ policy ensured all owners received a one-of-a-kind powerboat
and simultaneously protected the resale value of the boats. Over the years, the quality,
performance, and meticulous attention to his customers transformed Randy into a powerboat
building industry icon.
International Recognition
Liquid Glass Powerboats and Profile Custom Powerboats have been featured and tested to
critical acclaim on countless occasions in Hot Boat Magazine, Powerboat Magazine, Extreme
Boats Magazine, Family and Performance Boating Magazine, and was featured on the
American Boater Television Show.
Re-Defining the Powerboat
In early 2005, Randy Schultz sold Profile Powerboats and joined forces with David and
Ryan Kratz to form Liquid Glass Powerboats. The mission of this new venture with deep,
experienced roots was to construct the finest, custom-built luxury powered catamarans in
the world.
Innovation Meets Experience
The results are clear. Liquid Glass Powerboats has united the timeless with the
cutting edge.
Thirty years of refined boat-building techniques, high performance optimization, and
meticulous attention to detail and customer service are matched with innovative designs,
modern materials, state-of-the-art technologies, unparalleled reliability, and unlimited
customized creativity.
Revolutionaries Never Quit
Liquid Glass Powerboats is defying convention by uniting performance powerboating with
recreational boating with no compromises in performance, comfort, or safety. We think it
is the best of both worlds. In addition to superb on-water performance and cutting edge
styling, our below-bow cabin design is unique in catamarans. Our cockpits and cabins are
luxuriously appointed with features found more commonly on luxury yachts.
Customers First…Always
We hope you are inspired by our products and our attention to customer service. And we
invite you to learn about our company, our boat building philosophy, and ultimately enjoy the
experience of owning a Liquid Glass Powerboat.

A Powerboating Visionary’s Ideal Boat
The 41 Luxury Cat
“For 10 years I’ve been building this boat in my head,” commented Randy Schultz, chief
designer and co-founder of Liquid Glass Powerboats. Offering insight into why he began the
process of building the 41’ Cat, “I wanted to build not only a world-class boat with the best
materials; I wanted it to be as unique as our customers. But it had to be perfect in every
way, beginning with the aspects the customer rarely sees. With the help of my brother-in-law
and his wonderfully precise CNC machine, we first made a plug. Then we used a technique
called direct infusion molding to make the perfect hull. This boat is ideal in every way. You
can’t build something like this by hand and have it symmetrically perfect and optimized for
weight and performance, but this one is.”
With a technically perfect mold and best-in-class hull, Randy turned his attention to rigging
this new Cat. “The first boat was powered with a pair of Mercury Racing’s new 700s and
NXT drive system. It was plenty fast, but this boat is not about all out speed. We’ll put any
engine package into this boat the customer wants, but engines are just a part of the story.
We’ve optimized the center of gravity, we use a proprietary custom engine mounting for
easy access and removal, and we’ve simplified the rigging process with modern technologies.”
“We offer some of the luxuries and comforts never before found on a boat like this,”
commented Randy. He advises prospective customers, “Think about the perfect boat. How
do you want it to drive? How do you want it to handle? When you glance down to the dash,
how should it be designed for best viewing? How much comfort should there be in the seats
and the cabin? Where should the storage be and how much? What does the interior fit and
finish look and feel like? Should the boat be extra-flashy or luxuriously-understated or maybe
there really is a perfect balance? Then you have described this boat. Nothing, and I mean
nothing, was left to chance.”
Randy summed it up, “After 30 years in the custom powerboat-building business, I’m so
proud of this Cat. We’ve built this boat to the highest quality, safety, design, performance,
and materials. And most of all, I’m always excited at the prospects of working with each
unique customer to create the exact boat that matches their unique personalities, uses, and
lifestyle.” 5

Best-In-Class Molds Yield Best-In-Class Hulls
The quality and precision of a boat mold directly influences the quality, longevity, durability,
and aesthetics of the hull. This behind-the-scenes step, while not usually visible to the
customer, is the backbone of the high-performance powerboat.
Hand Built Loses Appeal
There are several methods for boat mold construction. The hand built method is an
antiquated process. Hand-construction yields inconsistent quality and imprecise edges. It
forces the designer to ‘cheat’ on rounding the edges because it is an imprecise science.
The Future: CNC
The cutting edge method uses a CNC machine to precisely design and build the mold. CNC
stands for Computer Numerical Control and refers to a computer controller that reads
electronic instructions and drives a powered mechanical device used to fabricate the mold.
Precise Edges
With CNC machines, curves are as easy to cut as straight lines, complex 3-D structures
are easy to produce, and the number of machining steps that require human action are
dramatically reduced.
Zero Errors, Every Time
Deck skin and gel coat applied
With CNC machining, considerable improvements in consistency and quality are achieved.
CNC automation reduces the frequency of errors. Advanced error detections are integrated
into CNC machining to prevent problems before they occur.
The Result
What does this all mean to the finished boat? With the extreme precision of CNC produced
parts and laser and sensor checked measurements, the most superior boat mold is created. Edges are perfect, rounded corners are identical, and body lines are exactly straight.
Our molds are perfectly constructed with zero defects which yields a uniform, precise,
high-durability, low-weight hull. And our mold designs are unique to Liquid Glass Powerboats
only.
Investing for the Future
The downside to all this? CNC machining is extremely expensive and requires advanced
expertise. Liquid Glass Powerboats believes so greatly in the benefits of this superior
technology that we made the investment in a CNC-machined mold so that we can continue
producing the finest Cats in the world. Ask our competitors how they built their molds, then
view their molds and our molds and hulls for yourself, and compare the difference.
It’s remarkable.

Hull Construction
Hull Construction – Infusion Molding vs.
Hand Laid and Vacuum Bagging
In a high-performance environment, all that separates you from the water is your boat hull.
Hull construction and performance is critical.
Proprietary Hulls
Our boat hulls were designed and constructed by Liquid Glass Powerboats from scratch in our
factory. The hulls are exclusively unique and proprietary to the Company.
Out with the Old
Liquid Glass Powerboats has technologically leapfrogged the antiquated, less-precise
technologies of vacuum-bagging and hand laying hulls. These techniques yield lower quality
hull reliability, performance, and reduced aesthetics.
Vacuum bagging and hand laying yields a resin to glass ratio of 60% resin to 40% fiberglass (at
best), which is far from ideal. Hull strength is achieved from fiberglass, not from resin. Resin
only makes a boat heavier, not stronger.
The Future: Infusion Molding
We

build boats using infusion molding. The concept works as follows:
Fiberglass reinforcement is placed in a mold set
The mold is closed and clamped
Resin is injected into the mold cavity under pressure
View the photos at right for the individual steps of infusion molding
Core layer applied to deck
The motive force is pressure therefore, the pressure in the mold cavity is higher than
atmospheric pressure. In contrast, vacuum bagging methods use vacuum as the motive force,
and the pressure in the mold cavity is lower than atmospheric pressure.
Once infused, the fiber cures with exact durability, quality, and volume specifications,
leaving nothing to chance or variability. The result is a remarkable 70% fiberglass to 30% resin
ratio. The entire process is environmentally clean and friendly with no toxic emissions.
Infusion Molding Benefits
Infusion molding yields:
• 45% improvement in hull strength
• 100% improvement in hull stiffness and rigidity
• 46% weight reduction
The technique’s hallmark quality is repeatable and consistent performance.
Outcome is never dependent on an operator’s skill.
Compare
Ask our competitors how they build their hulls. Then test the superiority of a hull built by
infusion molding. The advantages are remarkable.

Engines
Power
It’s what turns an otherwise average boating experience into something exhilarating. Liquid
Glass Powerboats continues a longstanding tradition of working closely with the largest
marine engine supplier globally to ensure each set of engines are optimized and matched to
the boat it propels. Mercury Racing, a division of Mercury Marine, is recognized worldwide
for its commitment to building high-performance marine race engines for the discriminating
boater.
But engines by themselves only make up a portion of a catamaran’s overall performance.
At Liquid Glass Powerboats, no detail goes unnoticed. Our engine mounts are specifically
designed and customized to accommodate a variety of engine packages. The aluminum rail
system heavy-duty mounts work to keep vibration to a minimum. Engine wiring is easy to
access and color-coded.
Engines aren’t just about speed. A variety of power plants are available to ensure
performance, speed, efficiency, and usability are accurately matched to the owner’s needs.
700 SCi: The Mercury Racing 700 SCi
with 700 horsepower is one of Mercury’s
newest configurations. The 700 SCi features
a copper-nickel alloy intercooler, a microalloy crankshaft with enhanced durability
and strength, and a new camshaft design
that allows for increased valve lift for
enhanced power and torque. The engine
features the all new dry-sump NXT1 drive
and transmission designed and developed
exclusively by Mercury Racing. Engine
aesthetics are new with the carbon fiber
reservoir covers, polished pulleys, and
selected components painted slate grey.
Overall, twin 700 SCi’s result in a superbly quick engine package on any body of water.
850 SCi: The Mercury Racing
850 SCi engine with 850 horsepower is based on its venerable
bigger brother, the 1075 SCi.
A pair of Lysholm twin screw
superchargers, combined with
multiport fuel injection (two
injectors per cylinder), provide
sport boaters with turn-key
starting, great overall running
quality and incredibly smooth
idle quality for a high horsepower big block. Shifting into
and out of gear is smooth as silk with the engine’s 800 RPM idle speed, making docking
a pleasant experience. The design features a low profile to reduce the engine’s center
of gravity. Aesthetically a new style billet aluminum pulleys anodized in Mercury Racing’s brilliant blue are complemented by matching valve covers. Composite supercharger
air inlet resonators and engine covers complete the styling of the 850 SCi. The 850 SCi
offers the best of both worlds: a refined engine coupled with tremendous raw performance.
10
1200 SCi: The 1200 SCi is Mercury’s
ferocious, premier race engine. The engine,
featuring the legendary dry-sump Six drive, is
the most powerful consumer sterndrive (1,200
horsepower) ever built by Mercury Racing.
Based on a high performance 557-cubic inch
V-8 cylinder block, the 1200 SCi features a pair
of Lysholm twin screw super chargers with
multiport fuel injection (two injectors per cylinder). New Mercury Racing and engine model
graphics adorn the carbon fiber top cover and
valve covers. Polished pulleys and clear anodized hose fittings put the finishing touches on what is the ultimate in high performance
sterndrive marine propulsion. Think of it as a street legal race engine available to you.
1075 SCi: The 1075 SCi with its massive 1,075 horsepower is immensely powerful and fast. The 1075 SCi
features a pair of Lysholm twin screw superchargers with
multi-port fuel injection, providing sport boaters with
turn-key starting, incredible idling, great running quality,
and smooth as silk shifting. Bold new graphics, carbon
fiber valve covers, and new style anodized billet aluminum
pulleys complete the aesthetic package. The 1075 SCi truly
offers a unique, one-of-kind high-performance catamaran
experience.
Additional Customization:
If these engines don’t meet your needs for power,
others are available. No matter which engine package is selected, further customization is
always an option. And once you’ve selected your power option, we make sure that it is visibly
impressive and easily accessible. Even our engine hatch covers are electrically operated and
open to the rear of the boat, a thoughtful design feature when access to the engine compartment is necessary. Inside the engine compartment is a spacious, intelligently designed
substructure with ample room throughout.

662 SCi (European):
The Mercury
EU662 SCi is exclusively designed for the
European market. With 662 horsepower, the
662 SCi meets the requirements of the European Union’s CE Recreational Craft Directive (RCD), including the recent 2003/44/EC
amendment for exhaust emissions. The engines
also comply with the EU’s Electromagnetic
Compatibility Directive. Meeting the combination of these directives e
 nables the 662 SCi
engines to be CE marked. The 662 SCi is the
highest horsepower marine engine certified
for sale in the EU. It shares all of the game-changing technology of its North American
counterpart – the 700 SCi. Engine packages come standard with the NXT1 drive for both
close-couple and drive-line installations. The new NXT1 SSM drive, featuring the drysump Six drive coupled to the NXT1 transom plate and the dry-sump NXT1 transmission,
is available as well.

Dashboard
The dashboard is where driver and boat connect. Liquid Glass Powerboats has designed and
built its dash to be functional with easy to read gauges placed in the right locations all while
being visually appealing. That’s the way a dashboard should be.
Gauges
Whether you opt for the left-hand-drive or right-hand-drive setup, at the center sits
Mercury’s VesselView Race Edition flat panel display. VesselView displays vital engine
information in real time. Drivers can monitor more than 20 screens for readouts on speed,
RPMs, engine temperatures, trim positions, trip history logs, and engine efficiencies to name
just a few. The screens are waterproof, easy to read, and fail safe. A standard large-screen,
color GPS system provides directional support virtually anywhere in the world and integrates
with our custom video and audio systems seamlessly. Switches and gauges are heavy-duty,
marine-grade for long lasting durability.
Throttles
Engine throttles are purposefully placed at the center of the console, for unobstructed
operation and easy access by the driver or throttleman. Even the dash-piece itself is
aesthetically designed. While virtually any background is available, we have chosen a
unique carbon fiber dash plate that is weather-resistant, long lasting, and uniquely
pleasing to the eye.

Cockpit
Luxury and customization come alive
in our cockpit and cabins. Our standard
features are often not even found in
other catamarans. At the helm, as you sit
in our seats you will n
 otice they aren’t
ordinary seats. They are the envy of our
competition. Liquid Glass heavy-duty
seats are custom upholstered, bolstered
for support, comfortable after hours
on the water (standing or seated), and
feature 8-way power adjustments for
optimum positioning. Below dash in the
footwells, power footrests adjust fore and
aft and tilt vertically to further increase
comfort. Snap-in high-quality, heavy grade
carpet is custom colored, long-lasting,
and cleans easily.
Rear Seats
Our 4-person rear individual seats are
an innovation unto themselves. We have
been building high-performance boats
long enough to know that the greatest
in-cockpit challenge is to keep passengers
seated comfortably and securely. So we
have custom engineered an ingeniously
versatile rear seat. Grab-handles for all
passengers are aesthetically integrated
into the seats themselves yet provide
comfort and convenience. A thoughtfully-designed center step
between the two middle seats provides
easy access to the engine bays and rear of
the boat. At the sides are flush-mounted
stainless-steel cupholders. Ample storage
is available under seats, behind the
engine compartment, and in the cabin.
We even provide custom color-matched
life jackets, bumpers, and ropes…all
standard.
Virtually the entire cockpit and cabin can
be customized. Options are limited only
by your and our collective creativity.

Audio/Video
Each boat is fitted with a spectacular audio system. Long before we built the first Cat,
we brought in world-class audio experts to analyze the acoustic dimensions and onboard
environment in the cockpit and cabin. We pre-designed audio and video systems in the
cockpit and cabin to provide sensory overload on the water. More than 14 speakers in the
cockpit alone will turn heads all around this boat.
As an option, an on-dash monitoring screen is matched to low-profile cameras mounted fore
and aft. Docking, trailering, and maneuvering in tight spaces has never been so easy. And
with our optional engine compartment cameras, visual monitoring of the engine bay is a
touch of a button away at the helm.
Cabin
Below deck, our cabins are fitted with luxurious, high quality appointments. Large, heavily
padded cushions and high-grade carpeting are custom matched to your color choices. In the
aft room, a comfortable two-person lounge faces an LCD, flush-mounted flat panel TV screen
matched to a DVD system. In the forward compartment, a roomy queen berth offers comfort
and convenience. The cabin also features a portable head in an enclosed compartment for
privacy and ambient direct and indirect lighting throughout. Wall-to-wall carpeting is high
quality and resists the elements. In-cabin high performance audio enhances the ambience.
As always, customization options abound.

Performance Boat Education
At Liquid Glass Powerboats, safety is paramount. To ensure each owner is skilled in the
operation of their 41 Luxury Cat, we have partnered with industry-leading performance boat
training educators at Tres Martin Performance Boat School. With the purchase of a Liquid
Glass Powerboat, a complimentary 2-day training course with one-on-one instruction is
provided, a $2,500 value. To learn more about the Tres Martin School, go to
www.performanceboatschool.com
Warranty
Liquid Glass Powerboats fully supports its products. A lifetime warranty to first owners and
one-time transfer provision to second owners is offered on Liquid Glass Powerboat hulls.
Mercury Marine warrantees its engines for up to 1 year. Components have additional warranties.
Powerboat Lease Program
Consider the advantages of leasing a boat through Liquid Glass Powerboats’ easy lease
program. The advantages are numerous: you select the term which you wish to use the
boat, potentially tax-advantaged boat payments, and more frequent upgrades to new boats. 19
Why a Liquid Glass Powerboat?
There is no shortage of boat builders in the world. Only a select few of those boat builders
design and build true high-performance boats. Even fewer high-performance boat builders
design, build, and sell completely custom-made boats. But Liquid Glass Powerboats goes so
much farther. We design, build, and sell powerboats of extraordinary quality, exceptional
style, aesthetic durability, exhilarating performance, and unique individuality. And we do it
all with you at the center, as customer service is at the core of everything we do.
No Shortcuts
We don’t cut corners. In boat building, accuracy counts, not speed. Nothing is left to chance.
We utilize only the best fiberglass. Our boats are lined with a hi-tech foam core which yields
the finest balance between high performance, optimum boat weight, and structural integrity
and safety. Safety is paramount. We thoroughly test each boat, in water and out, before it is
delivered.
We do not show a finite ‘options list’ because we would be excluding all the potentials
for customizing and individualizing each boat. Only the laws of physics and your and our
collective imaginations limit the options for your boat.
Never A Copy
We don’t build or sell exact copies or duplicates of previously commissioned boats. We
believe in maintaining the individuality of owning a custom powerboat. Once you purchase
a boat from us, no exactly customized replica will ever be constructed. And our ‘no copy’
policy has a secondary benefit: it protects the value of your boat should you ever decide to
place it for re-sale.
Global Sales and Delivery
No matter where you are in the world, we can almost certainly custom build, sell, and
deliver a boat to you. And, we will facilitate all shipping and paperwork to ensure a smooth
and timely delivery.
Exceptional Value for the Money
We believe that you, the customer, should pay for outstanding performance, modern design,
state-of-the-art technologies, meticulous workmanship, and customized features, not the
boat builder’s overhead costs.
We have strategically designed our operations to ensure efficiency. We placed our
headquarters and operations in rural Iowa, a central U.S. State with a lower cost of doing
business. Our operations are efficient and modern, and our workforce is well-trained and
experienced. We sell boats direct from the designer/headquarters with no middlemen
involved. In the end, you are buying a world-class, high performance, completely customized,
limited production powerboat without paying for excessive overhead or inefficient
operations. Value for the money is maximized.
20
Warranty
Throughout our 30 years of boat building, we’ve stood solidly behind our boats. A lifetime
warranty to first owners and one-time transfer provision to second owners is offered on
Liquid Glass Powerboat hulls. Hulls are constructed of quad-axial fiberglass and can be
repaired worldwide, if a situation arises. In the unlikely event of any hull problem, we stand
behind it at no cost to you, anywhere in the world.
Liquid Glass Powerboats will install any engine package to your specifications. Mercury
Marine Performance Racing Engines warrantees their engines for up to one year and can be
serviced for maintenance, winterized, or summerized at any Mercury repair facility.
Globally Recognized Certification
Liquid Glass Powerboats is Mercury Racing certified to install high performance engines
and all our boats are U.S. Coast Guard certified for safety and buoyancy.
CE Certified
Liquid Glass Powerboats has applied for and been granted CE Certification, allowing the
company to sell the 41 Luxury Cat into the European Union. CE designation is required for all
powerboats sold in the European Union. To achieve this world-class standard, Liquid Glass
had to document, test, and pass all recreational craft standards under a CE representative’s
watch, including sound, emissions, construction, and design. *At the time of this brochure’s
printing, Liquid Glass had been granted CE certification and was awaiting final paperwork
from CE authorities.
Customer Service
Our entire company takes great pride in every boat we design, build, and sell. Master
Designer/Builder and industry veteran Randy Schultz personally supervises the construction
of each boat. We also personally test each boat prior to delivery to ensure world-class
performance, build quality, reliability, and safety. Not only do we work with owners from
the very beginning of the boat building process, we interact long after the powerboat has
been delivered.
In a world of seemingly continual declining customer service, we take the exact opposite
pproach: we have heightened and intensified our focus on each individual. This approach
a
puts the customer at the center. We take care of you fully. It is not enough to build
outstanding powerboats alone. We build outstanding powerboats as unique as their
individual owners, and we remain with the owners for the duration. Customer service is
top priority at Liquid Glass Powerboats.
21
The Design & Order Process
The process of commissioning a new 41 Luxury Cat can be as involved or un-involved as you,
the future owner, desires. We work with you to provide custom interior and exterior designs,
graphics, colors, materials, audio setups, technologies, engine packages, performance
packages, and comfort and convenience specifications. Customization and options are
limited only to our collective creativity.
Should you decide to commission a boat in person, we welcome you to our headquarters and
operations center. We are located in Sumner, Iowa, approximately 4.5 hours west of Chicago,
3 hours south of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 35 minutes from Waterloo, Iowa, the nearest
regional public airport. And if you purchase a Cat after visiting us, your travel expenses will
be fully paid by Liquid Glass Powerboats.
After your boat is planned and fully designed detailing all specifications, it moves into
production. Periodically throughout production we will supply you with a custom photo
album as your boat passes through each step of the manufacturing process. Once finished,
we deliver your boat to you, anywhere in the world.
Liquid Glass Powerboats are designed, ordered, built, and warranteed direct from our
manufacturing headquarters. No dealer network is needed nor involved.
