Biography of Officials of Jacksonville Chinese Association [Jacksonville Chinese Association (JCA), the largest Chinese Association in North Florida area.] [ Jacksonville Chinese Association (JCA), a leading non-­‐

李波 (Henry Li)

Member of the Board of Directors
Henry Li is the Vice President of Finance & Administration/CFO for
Jacksonville Transportation Authority - an independent state agency with over
$200 million annual budget. In his role, he is responsible for the oversight of
human resources, procurement, information technology, finance, accounting,
budget, business development and other critical function.
Henry actively participated in the Asian community activities. He was the past
president of Association of Chinese Professionals in Atlanta, Vice Chairman of
Hubei Fellowship Association, and Treasurer of Asian Heritage Foundation.

王峻 (Eric Wang)

Mr. Eric Wang came from Chicago to Jacksonville in 2013 due to a job relocation.
He currently serves as the application engineering manager at BCR
Environmental. In his spare time, Mr. Wang also serves as a vice president of
Jacksonville Chinese Association, mainly responsible for organizing various
entertainment and sports activities for the JCA members. Mr. Wang is an
enthusiast for recreational sports like badminton, tennis, and volleyball. He is also
an avid hobbyist of keyboard instruments and photography.
王峻因工作调动于2013年从芝加哥搬来杰城。现在就职于 BCR Environmental 公
司，担任工程应用经理职务。他在业余时间亦兼职担任杰城中国同乡会副会
长，负责组织各类文体活动。王峻热爱羽毛球，网球，排球，键盘乐器演奏，
摄影等活动.

殷长虹 (James Yin), Former Chairman of Board of Directors of Jacksonville Chinese Association (JCA) from 2008c 2010. Currently Serves as a Board member of JCA James is a principal engineer at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. from 2003 to present. He is J&J certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt Belt. He holds three (3) US patents and more than 15 US patent applications publications. James is a co-­‐chair of A.S.I.A. Employee Resource Group at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. from 2010 to present. James is a well-­‐known leader in North Florida Asian and Chinese communities. Under strong leadership of James: -­‐ Jacksonville Chinese Association won Outstanding Community service from Jacksonville Mayor’s Asian American Advisory Board (MAAAB) in 2007. -­‐ JCA Chinese School won Outstanding Education Award from MAAAB in 2010. -­‐ JCA won People’s Choice Top Award at World of Nations Celebration in Jacksonville in 2010. -­‐ ASIA Employee Resource Group of J&J Vision Care, Inc. won Outstanding Community Service Award from MAAAB in 2012. -­‐ ASIA Employee Resource Group of J&J Vision Care, Inc. won the Year of Chapter Award from Jpjnson & Johnson in 2012. -­‐ James himself also won Outstanding Community Service Award from MAAAB in 2001. Beyond a strong leader, James is also a community fundraiser, event planner and organizer. -­‐ Under his strong leadership, Jacksonville Chinese Association raised more than $125,000 for China Earthquake Relief in 2008. A total of 1,000,000 RMB (Chinese currency) plus 50,000 RMB (scholarship) was donated to rebuild a village school in earthquake area in Sichuan, China in 2008. -­‐ James and his team initiated and successfully planned the first ever Night of ASIA raising ~$45,000 within 30 days for Typhoon Sendong Disaster Relief in Philippines in Jacksonville in 2012. James received M. S. degree in Polymer Engineering from University of Tennessee, Knoxville and M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Dong Hua University in Shanghai, China. 陈曦 ( Xi Chen )

Xi Chen has been living in her hometown, Shanghai, China, before she went to Japan to get her
undergraduate degree. After she moved to the United States, she has devoted herself to
contributing to the Chinese communities around her. She was the vice president of JCA for 2
years, from 2010 to 2012, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2012.
Xi Chen is family oriented and spent a lot of time with her two lovely daughters, who are both
talented in arts. She also enjoys gardening, cooking and travelling. She has been actively
involved into several culture and activity clubs in Jacksonville Chinese Association such as club
of wine culture, club of deep-sea fishing and etc.
Xi Chen also loves and is always ready to help others out, and she believes that it’s important to
live one’s life happily every day. The cross cultural background entitled her the ability of
understanding and caring.
宋作瑞 (Zuorui Song)

Zuorui Song, MD, CCP Chief, C.V.Perfusion, U.F. Health Jacksonville Alma
Mater: University of Nebraska Medical Center 1997 Dr. Song and his family
moved to Jacksonville in 2002, and has been working at U.F. Health Jacksonville
since then. With numerous scientific publications in China and the US, Dr. Song
has been the Associate Editor of the Journal of American Extracorporeal
Technology since 1997 on top of his daily clinical work in the hospitals. A former
JCA Vice President and Board of Director for several years, Dr. Song also served
as the first JCA Chinese School principal for five years. Working with Duval
County Public Schools, Dr. Song co-sponsored the initiation of the Chinese
Language Teaching Program and helped launch Chinese language programs at
elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Jacksonville. He is currently
working with the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce to promote Jacksonville
and recruit Chinese investors to come to our great city. Dr. Song loves travelling,
landscaping, fishing and even likes searching shark teeth at the beaches. He also
likes sitting in the Jacob Symphony Hall often and pretending he really enjoys it.
宋作瑞携家人于2002年春移居杰克逊威尔市， 于佛罗里达大学教学医院心
血管体外循环科工作至今，曾任同乡会副会长及董事， 于2004年创建中文
学校并担任校长五年，在与中国汉办及杰市教育局合作推广全市中小学汉语
教学项目中，起到重要的桥梁与推动作用。宋作瑞目前正在与杰市商会合
作，招商引资，积极吸纳中国投资者来杰市落户。宋作瑞业余喜爱旅游，园

李军 (Jun Li)

Jun Li, childhood growing up in Xinjiang province, used to be a farmer, a
wrangler to pasture horses, was a geological team member looking over mine,
drilled mineral wells, was as an electrical engineer engaged in construction and
electric system design. Often traveled the world, been to dozens of countries in
the world…, I am also interested in horseback riding, skating, playing soccer, wei
qi, bridge, and playing violin. Since 1996, I and my family moved to
Jacksonville, and worked at Union Engineering North American LLC as an
automation control engineer.
李军，自幼在新疆长大，曾经种过地，放过马，当过地质队员找过矿，钻过
井，搞过施工，建过电厂，做过电气设计，曾经周游世界，去过世界上的数
十个国家，本人爱好骑马，滑冰，踢足球，下围棋，打桥牌，拉小提
琴。1996搬到Jacksonville, 现在 Union Engineering North American LLC工
作，任自动控制工程师.
师均红 (Junhong Shi)

Junhong Shi have been resident of Jacksonville for a total of 11 years. She was
actively involved in organizing of various Chinese activities and festivals in the
earlier years of Jacksonville Chinese Association. Junhong lived in west coast of
Florida for 5 years and returned to Jacksonville in 2012 from Sarasota area where
she served as Vice Chairwoman and Director of Board of Directors of Gulf Coast
Chinese Association and Vice Principal of Sarasota Chinese Academy. Junhong is
a Professional Engineer licensed with the State of Florida. She is employed by the
State of Florida as a Senior Professional Engineer in the Department of
Environmental Protection. Her professional fields are surface water management
engineering; water and wastewater engineering. Junhong has a degree of Bachelor
of Science in Environmental Engineering from Tongji University, China.
师均红在杰市一共住了十一年。她参与 组织了许多早期杰市中国同乡会的活
动，曾任副会长。在本州西海岸住了五年, 任海湾华美协会副主席，树德中
文学校副校长。2012 年回到杰市。师均红是注册专业工程师，在本州州政府
环境保护部任高级工程师。从事雨水和防洪工程, 饮用水和污水工程等事
业。师均红毕业于同济大学环境工程系, 学士学位。
吴永安 (Yongan Wu)

Yongan Wu, PhD, completed his master’s and doctoral degree at the University of
Oklahoma majoring in English education, is teaching Chinese at the University of
North Florida, which offers a minor degree in Chinese language. His research
interests include second language acquisition and cross-cultural studies. He is in
the process of writing a book about Chinese elements in Modern American
poetry.
When gets chance, he swims, hikes and climbs mountains.
