NE of the highlights of this year was the royal wedding
between Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of
Cambridge. Merchandise featuring the royal couple have
become best sellers, and now doll-makers are getting in on the act.
In August, British (英國的) toyshop Hamleys started selling
‘Princess Catherine and Prince William Wedding Dolls’ in
celebration of the royal wedding. The dolls show the royal couple
in the attire they wore for the wedding at Westminster Abbey on
April 29.

The dolls are targeted at children aged 14 and over, and are
priced at 100 pounds (about HK$1,200). A donation of 1 pound
will be made to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution for every
‘Princess Catherine Wedding Doll’ or ‘Royal Wedding Doll’ set sold. A five-year-old girl poses with her new royal wedding
