MILO MANARA
Milo Manara was born in Italy in 1945. Equally at ease as an illustrator or as a writer he has become one of the
world’s greatest erotic comic artists. Amoung his many notable works are Décaméron de Boccace (1974),
Giuseppe Bergman (1978), Le Déclic (1983), Le Parfum de l'Invisible (1985). Manara ‘s genius as an illustrator can
be seen in L'Art de la Fessée first published in 1988 and La Modèle, re-released in 2010.
In 2004, he published his first volume of the sultry series Borgia, written by the illustrious Jodorowsky. Manara
developed his style of color art in order to paint the flesh and blood of Italy in the fifteenth century. The series
which was completed in 2010 was a triumph.
Early 2013 will welcome the first volume of his next series: Caravaggio.

Tanino Liberatore was born in Italy in 1953. In the early 80s Liberatore designed posters, magazines and album covers for major
clients such as illustrating the album cover for Frank Zappa’s, The Man from Utopia. He also designed stage sets and computergenerated avatars for theater and French and Italian television. In 1981 the first episode of Ranxerox was published which is by far
his most famous creations. Liberatore is now known worldwide for its hyper-realistic style, and his virtuosity in drawing women
and nudes. His unusual sense of aesthetics, his mastery of form and proportions as well as his taste for disruptive backgrounds make
him one of the most emblematic authors of his generation. Liberatore has lived and worked in France since 1982.
