Since inception, TAKREER maintained its position as a leading refining Company, thanks to the high standard and efficient refining operation consistent with sound health, safety and environment practices as well as the world standard performance of both operations and employees. TAKREER has grown over the years and gained more experience in the international market which made it more competitive and successful in the field of hydrocarbon products. CORE BUSINESS The Ruwais and Abu Dhabi Refineries constitute our core business. They produce over 23 million tons per year of products for the local and export markets. The company's objectives for the new millennium include the task of fulfilling national aspirations for quality assurance and environmental protection. It is also keen on implementing national policies that aim at providing employment opportunities for UAE nationals. Consequently, Takreer has designed a number of special development programs for UAE Nationals to provide them with the necessary skills to join the labor force. The number of our employees is over 3134 from around 50 nationalities. Meanwhile, Takreer conducts high standard and efficient refining operations consistent with sound health, safety and environmental practices. Its activities are based on total quality management principles in a customer and employee oriented environment. Its aim is to provide reliable, quality products that satisfy the requirements and needs of its customers and partners. For more than three decades, our refineries have provided products to meet the society's expanding energy needs. Takreer Research Centre (TRC) is a newly established state-ofthe-art centre that gears up to become, in collaboration with other local and international institutes and universities a centre of excellence in terms of technology transfers and human resources development. We recognize the need to explore, produce, transport, and manufacture energy products in an environmentally responsible manner, with the highest regard for safety and health of our workforce and of the community in which we operate. The centre is responsible among other things to oversee process modelling and product development and accumulation of data and technology related to refining activities. TAKREER .05 NTRODUCTION Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER) was established in 1999 to take over the responsibility of refining operations from ADNOC. The operations cover the crude oil and condensate refining and supply of petroleum products. Takreer's main objectives is to develop the refining industry in the UAE which started with the inauguration of Abu Dhabi Refinery (earlier known as Umm Al Nar) in 1976 and Ruwais Refinery in 1982. The project is scheduled to come on stream in the Jarn Yaphour Crude Oil Stabilization Plant (10,000 BPSD) first quarter of 2014. 25 REFINERY INSTALLATIONS CONDENSATE SECTION: Green Diesel Plant It has three main units; Mild Hydro-Cracker (41,000 BPSD), Gas Oil Hydro-Treater (44,000 BPSD) and Vacuum Distillation (35,000 BPSD). It produces Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel with maximum Sulphur content of 10ppmw. Condensate Distillation Units: There are two identical Condensate Distillation units of 140,000 BPD each. Hydroskimmer Section: Kerosene sweetening Units: There are two Kerosene sweetening units of 52,000 BPD capacity each. Naphtha Hydrodesulphurization Unit: Capacity of the plant is 34,350 BPD. Catalytic Reforming Unit: Capacity of the plant is 19,150 BPD. .05 LPG Amine Treating/Sweetening Unit: Capacity of this unit is 11,000 BPD. UNLEADED GASOLINE/LOW SULPHUR GAS Kerosene Hydrotreating Unit: Capacity of the plant is 20,780 BPSD. Contaminant Removal Units: There are two contaminant removal units with 19,192 BPD & 12,020 BPD respectively. Gas Oil Hydro Desulphurization Unit: Capacity of the plant is 21,850 BPD. Naphtha Hydrotreater Units: There are two Naphtha Hydrotreater units, with 19,000 BPD & 120.00 BPD AmineTreating Unit ( H2S Removal) :Capacity of the unit 10500 Nm3/hr of sour gas. respectively. Sour water treatment (Water Re-use unit) CCR Reformer Unit: Capacity of the unit is 12,000 BPD. Sulphur Recovery Unit: Capacity of the plant is 50 MTPD. Isomerization Unit: Capacity of the unit is 19,000 BPD. HYDROCRACKER SECTION: Vacuum Distillation Unit: Design Capacity of the plant is 46,000 BPD but it is currently operating at 52,000 BPD. Unibon Unit (Hydrocracker): Design Capacity of the plant is 27,000 BPD but it is currently operating at 32,000 BPD. Hydrogen Generation Unit: Capacity of the plant is 60,000 NM3/Hr. Sour water treatment (Water Re-use unit) 2 Gas Oil Hydrotreating Unit: Capacity of the unit is 15,000 BPD. Sulfur Recovery Unit: Capacity of the unit is 50 MT/day.
