The birds are chirping and there’s a nice breeze going through Rebekah’s Haven. This is the time of year to renew our minds and spring into action to show love by volunteering to minister to the ladies and their children. I ask that you please come along with us to show them the love of Jesus. Without God they will still be lost. We need your help to make sure that there is a lasting change made in their lives while they are at Rebekah’s Haven. Our main priority is the gospel. We need prayer warriors, mentors, and those willing to lead chapel services. Please, feel free to come and check us out to see where you might fit in. Thank you to those of you who have partnered with us. You are such a blessing! May the dear Lord bless you and make His face shine upon you now and always! Nancy Please Come & Share Jesus With Us! Knowing that my schedule wouldn’t allow me time to vote in the primaries on March 15th, I began to wonder if my vote really mattered. After all, when the primaries are all over the process is only half complete. So, as I drove home the Friday before, I came up on the place for early voting & felt led to stop & do the right thing—vote. As I got my ballot the lady there looked me in the eye several times and said, “I just want to thank you for what you do”. Much to my embarrassment, I couldn’t place how I knew her. So, once I cast my vote I asked her how I knew her. Her response made my day! “Oh, you don’t know me, but my brother stayed at the mission & you made a huge difference in his life. He’s doing really well now, so I wanted to thank you & encourage you to keep up the good work. You will probably never know how much you helped him.” Sometimes, the same doubts exist in ministry as in the voting process. Does what we do really matter? In my case, God used the voting process to validate me (us) in the ministry. We are about half way through the process of getting the needed permits & zoning changes for the new Rebekah’s Haven on Phillips Ave. It’ a long process, but we are doing the right thing knowing that God wants us to get the homeless women & children off these unsafe streets & into the shelter where they can renew their minds, have their hope restored, & get back on their feet. together through the entire process knowing that God has it all under control. Just as I thought about the voting process, you may be wondering if your prayers & donations really matter. The answer to that question is ABSOLUTELY YES!! We are half way through the fiscal year & you have already helped numerous mothers & children find or renew a relationship with Christ as well as move from the shelter into homes of their own. However, there are hundreds more that we have not had the space to accommodate. Be encouraged! You are doing the right thing & God is honoring your faithfulness. Let’s press on Tom Rev.
