INTRODUCTION TO CUBAN PERCUSSION:
8 Days course:
Havana - Varadero
Cuban percussion workshop
• Approach to Cuban music through percussion.
• Presentation of different instruments of Cuban percussion and
execution modes.
• Playing different Cuban rhythms by students, establishing several
polyrhythms with clapping.
• Body percussion.
• Improvisation.
WELCOME TO HAVANA
Day 1 - Havana
Arrival at the International Airport José Martí. The airport is 18 km from the
capital.
Reception by the guide and transfer to hotel Kholy.
Accommodation with breakfast and dinner included.
Day 2 - Havana
Morning:
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• City tour through the historic center
of the city with lunch included.
• Visit to a community project.
Rumba Evening:
• Live folklore group, where the use
of different Cuban percussion
instruments is highlighted.
Night:
• Visit to the “Palacio de la Rumba”
(Rumba Palace) to enjoy a live show.
Day 3 - Transfer to Varadero and Classes
Morning:
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• At 8:00 – Transfer to Varadero
• Arrival at the ABC Academy: briefing of the course.
• Teacher presentation.
Accommodation at Barceló-Solymar
Hotel. All included.
Evening:
• At 14:00 h. Transfer to the Music
Academy
• Cuban Percussion workshop: 3 hours
• Transfer to the hotel.
Ninght:
• Free.
Day 4 - Classes (Varadero)
Morning:
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• At 9:30am - Transfer to the Academy.
• Workshop: 3 hours (from 10:00 to 13:00).
Afternoon and Night: Free
Day 5 - Classes (Varadero)
Morning:
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• At 9:30am - Transfer to the Academy.
• Workshop: 3 hours (from 10:00 to
13:00).
Afternoon and Night: Free
Day 6 - Classes (Varadero)
Morning:
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• At 9:30am - Transfer to the Academy.
• Workshop: 3 hours (from 10:00 to 13:00).
Afternoon and Night: Free
Day 7 - Classes (Varadero)
Morning:
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• At 9:30am - Transfer to the Academy.
• Workshop: 3 hours (from 10:00 to
13:00).
• Delivery of certificates and Souvenir.
Afternoon and Night: Free
(At nights, optional: Live dance concert with orchestra. Price supplement: 19
eur per person, transfer included).
Day 8 - Departure day
Transfer to the airport.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Prices are calculated per person (minimum 6 students).
Flight to and from Havana not included.
PAYMENT:
For all booking requests, a 25% deposit is required.
Such payment is made to the customer’s acceptance of the program.
The remaining payment will be made one month before the course begins.
